The team has now reached the halfway point of the 16-week programme in Mayfair and are making excellent progress. Current Works Include: ▪️ Full strip-out back to Shell & Core ▪️ Asbestos removal ▪️ Removal of roof plant ▪️ Structural investigation and exploratory works Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Kallie Bell & Material Reuse to the site to review the progress of material reuse and explore further opportunities. A huge thank you to Matt Hampton and Reece Axisa for their efforts in facilitating reuse requests and allowing cameras on-site for FOOTPRINT+ 2025! #Footprint #Stripout #Demolition #sustainability

Sustainable start to 2025! This project has dedicated a designated area within their building to store reusable materials throughout its duration, ensuring they can be given sustainable new homes. The photo shows variety of valuable materials such as kitchen units, toilets, M&E, white goods, etc which have been dismantled, cleaned, wrapped and labeled for reuse.  These items are not just thrown away but are prepared for a second life!

Property and sustainability within the built environment.

I’m excited to announce that on March 22, 2025, I will be attempting a fitness challenge (Marathon Murph) to raise money for Sarcoma charities. As some of you may know, back in summer 2022, I was diagnosed with a rare type of sarcoma in my arm. While it had spread aggressively locally, I was fortunate to have it diagnosed early enough to undergo multiple surgeries at The Royal Marsden, and thankfully, it hasn’t spread elsewhere in my body. I am extremely grateful for the care I received and very aware that my story could have had a different outcome. That’s why I’m passionate about raising awareness and funds for Transcend Sarcoma, a charity founded by Jack Holmes, who sadly lost his battle with sarcoma last year. Jack’s family and friends are doing incredible work to continue his legacy, and I want to support them. The Challenge: A single Murph workout is: 1-mile run 100 pull-ups 200 push-ups 300 squats Another 1-mile run For the Murph Marathon, I’ll be completing a full Murph every 2 hours, with an extended running distance, to reach a total in 24 hours of: 26.2 miles of running  1,200 pull-ups  2,400 push-ups 3,600 squats over the course of the day. I’ll be doing this at Newwave CrossFit, a gym that played a huge role in keeping me positive throughout my treatment. The community there has already shown incredible support, and many have committed to joining me for parts of the challenge. How You Can Help: We’re asking for a minimum £10 donation for anyone who joins a workout on the day, but you don’t have to be there in person to support! Every donation counts—whether big or small—and all funds raised will go directly to Transcend Sarcoma, helping others facing this rare form of cancer. You can learn more and donate here: JustGiving – Franky’s Murph Marathon - https://lnkd.in/eGgHrS55 Thank you so much for your support!

Building a better future, one sustainable step at a time! 🌱 One of the key objectives on the fit-out of Saffron House is to minimise its impact on the environment. CIBSE will be piloting the UK’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard on their new HQ and using their expertise to share best practice in decarbonising a commercial property. Here’s how Hoymor is making a difference on this project: ♻️ Recycling and reusing materials & specifying sustainable products: We're committed to reusing and responsibly sourcing materials to minimise waste and environmental impact. 🚚 All-Electric Waste Disposal: We've partnered with Lawmens to handle all our waste removal using their All-Electric Vehicle service, ensuring a low-carbon footprint for every load transported off-site. 📊 Carbon Monitoring System: Our ‘Carbon Monitoring’ signing-in system tracks workforce travel methods and distances to site. We’re proud to contribute to a more sustainable built environment while delivering a high-performance space for CIBSE. #SustainableConstruction #NetZero #GreenBuilding #CarbonReduction #ElectricVehicles #FitOut #WasteManagement #CIBSE #BuildingForTheFuture
