This Black History Month, we recognise the significance and importance of the Windrush Sculpture, Life We Hold: A Tribute to Black Britain, particularly within the 2024 theme of Reclaiming Narratives. This sculpture is not just an artwork; it tells a critical story of the Windrush pioneers and their contributions to modern Britain. It was an honor to be part of creating something that acknowledges figures such as Icylin Douglas, Roxanne Beckles, Madgerine Thomas, Reverend Charlton Thomas, and Thelma Matilda, whose legacies are integral to our history. Jade Pearl honours these individuals through her portraits, ensuring their stories are remembered. Liam Hopkins' sculpture aims to foster dialogue and unity while highlighting the resilience of the Windrush generation. This initiative encourages Black communities across the UK to take ownership of their narratives and assert their place in our shared history. Let’s continue to share these stories and recognise their significance. #BlackHistoryMonth #ReclaimingNarratives #WindrushLegacy

Recently the Lazerian Mobile Studio made an appearance at Picnic in the Park as part of our ongoing project with Manchester Airport. The mobile studio’s unique setup is a fantastic way to capture attention and engage with the community, work colleagues, or guests. However, you don’t need to commission Lazerian for a large-scale sculpture to hire the van (though that would be nice!). We are offering the van and its facilities for hire which includes a mini creative workshop inside, equipped with a CNC router, laser cutter, vacuum former, and more. (complete with professional staff to operate machinery etc) It’s perfect for workshops, private events, and corporate events where you can inspire creativity and let people make things that matter to your organisation. We can even come up with ideas of what you can use the van for. #LazerianMobileStudio #CreativeWorkshops #EventHire #CommunityEngagement #CorporateEvents #PrivateEvents #CNCrouter #LaserCutter #VacuumFormer #ArtAndDesign #InteractiveExperience #CreativityUnleashed #SculptureHire Interested? Reposted below is information for the launch of the "End of the Line" outdoor exhibition and art trail in Glossop, running until 29th September. This exhibition celebrates the rich creative talent of our town, with an array of art forms ranging from painting and sculpture to music and street murals. It also embraces Glossop’s cultural identity, and in collaboration with Two Hares, they've even commissioned a special Glossop Pie Starting at Glossop train station, the trail takes you through the heart of the town, highlighting the works of local artists. The name "End of the Line" is inspired by Glossop being the terminus of the train line from Manchester, a feature famously showcased in The League of Gentlemen. As part of the "Glossop Creates Pairings" residency, I’ve had the privilege of working with the community to design modern, sustainable birdhouses that reflect the spirit of Glossop. Together, we created a unique color palette that captures the essence of our town. See more here: ⭕ https://lnkd.in/eVYevgKB ⭕ https://lnkd.in/ehaTVgDC This exhibition has been produced by Glossop Creates and commissioned by Visit Peak District and Derbyshire and supported by High Peak Borough Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund. I'm incredibly excited for everyone to experience the creativity and vibrant spirit of Glossop #EndOfTheLineExhibition #GlossopCreates #Lazerian #ArtAndDesign #CommunityArt #PublicArt #SustainableDesign #CreativeGlossop #UKArtTrail #LocalArtists #CulturalIdentity #HighPeak #VisitPeakDistrict #GlossopArt #CollaborativeArt #SustainabilityInArt #ModernDesign #GlossopCommunity #Glossopdale #GlossopPie
End of the Line is our new art trail for Glossop town centre! Produced by the Glossop Creates team, discover work by local artists including Sue Reddish, Clare Savory (was Freeman), Benjac Design, Michael Howard, Ghislaine Howard, Brian Fell, LAZERIAN, Evie O'Connor, Deggy, Richard Knox and Dark Peak Photo Festival. The outdoor art exhibition and trail takes the form of an autumnal walking exhibition, showcasing the diverse range of creative talent in the town from painting and sculpture to music and street murals, as well as Glossop’s unique cultural identity. We've even commissioned a Glossop Pie in collaboration with Two Hares. The End of the Line Outdoor art exhibition and trail - which will run until 29th September - starts at Glossop train station and leads participants around the town centre where they can view a range of artworks by locally based artists. The name ‘End of the Line’ is inspired by the fact that Glossop is the terminus of the train line from Manchester - a local feature which was highlighted in The League of Gentlemen’s opening introduction sequence, when the cult comedy show was filmed locally in Hadfield from 1999 - 2017. End of the Line has been commissioned by Visit Peak District & Derbyshire and funded by High Peak Borough Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund project. Great to have the Lazerian mobile studio at Picnic in the Park in Knutsford, organised by Knutsford Council, where we teamed up with MAG (Airports Group) for a community engagement workshop. Visitors were able to vote on their favorite design concept for the upcoming airport sculpture, which will incorporate glass droplets from the original chandeliers. If you missed it, you can still vote until the end of September The mobile studio is also available for events—corporate or personal—offering a unique creative space for workshops and gatherings. #LazerianMobileStudio #PicnicInThePark #CommunityEngagement #VoteForDesign #CreativeWorkshops #EventSpace #PublicArt #ManchesterAirport

Fantastic efforts from the Hopkins family 👏🏼♻️🏎️⚡️
My family recently appeared as climate champions in a Cartoon Network campaign, which will be shown worldwide. This initiative, part of the E-waste Climate Champion campaign by Envision Racing Formula E (and of course LAZERIAN) working with Cartoon Network, emphasises the importance of reusing and recycling e-waste. A special shoutout to our kids, Art and Estella Hopkins, for their fantastic contributions, and my partner Liam Hopkins, who had a small role as well 🤣 Involving kids in this conversation is vital, as it teaches them the significance of sustainable practices and empowers them to advocate for the environment. The Hopkins family are excited to be part of such an impactful effort! https://lnkd.in/evup3BeS #ClimateChampions #EWasteAwareness #CartoonNetwork #Sustainability #Recycling #Reuse #EcoKids #FutureStewards #FamilyForThePlanet #EnvisionRacing #ArtAndEstella #ClimateAction #EcoFriendly #GreenLiving

It was a fantastic day at MAG (Airports Group) as we engaged with the staff, gathering insights on three design concepts aimed at repurposing the iconic chandeliers from the original terminal. During an interactive workshop, participants had the chance to vote for their preferred design. To commemorate the occasion, each attendee received a limited edition foil artwork, personally signed, numbered, and stamped by Liam Hopkins This collaboration has been an exciting journey, and there is great anticipation for how the project will continue to evolve. Of course we will be documenting it all and the voting process for the 3 concepts is available to all and open until the end of September, where the design with the most votes will be developed further and fully revealed. #DesignInnovation #CommunityEngagement #ArtAndDesign #Collaboration #Sustainability #Architecture #CreativeProcess #ManchesterAirport #InteriorDesign #Workshops #ArtCommunity
