Following on from 2024's successful Army of Creatives project we are delighted to announce our open call for the 2025 programme. This initiative is driven by our desire to address the need for relatable role models, who share similar backgrounds and experiences with local young people. In 2024, LEAN successfully recruited an Army of Creatives – talented local creative professionals from diverse art forms – to empower the next generation of artists, helping them realise their creative potential. The project includes: - Training and Support: Artists will receive training to prepare for their school visits, ensuring you are equipped to engage and inspire young learners. Each participating artist to attend one training day with lunch provided. - Session delivery in Lewisham secondary schools: Artists will share their personal creative career pathways and show how Lewisham young people can also access careers in the creative industries. - Digital Resource Creation: Artists will contribute to the creation of a digital resource where local Creative Professionals will share their experiences and provide tips for success in their chosen creative field. This resource will be accessible to students and the wider community. - Work Experience Opportunities: Artists will help (where possible) to identify potential future work experience opportunities within their respective companies or organisations, contributing to students’ hands-on learning experiences. All artists will be paid for project training, session delivery, and resource creation days. For details and application form: https://lnkd.in/eyAK5khb Deadline: 15th January 2025 If you have any questions, please contact julia@leanarts.org.uk
