Legal technology startup Lexlegis.ai on Thursday launched a large language model (LLM)-based platform, which it said can help make research, analysis and drafting by legal practitioners more efficient by reducing the intensive manual hours that generally go into it. A generative artificial intelligence (AI) querying model called Ask has gone live, while Interact, which will help summarise information, and Draft, which will help draft legal documents, are in beta testing and work-in-progress stages, respectively, and will be live this fiscal, according to Lexlegis AI CEO Saakar Yadav. He said India’s legal backlog, which exceeds 44.9 million cases, underscores the urgent need for innovative solutions to tackle this crisis. https://lnkd.in/e4kA24Md #LegalTechTalk #LegalTech #Legal #Law #Productlaunch

Pittsburgh law firm Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC has introduced its own generative AI product, known as Artifex, for use within its firm, and it aspires to introduce it to the market so other law firms can use it. At Buchanan Ingersoll, finding a solution became the task of Jeff Lagana, the firm’s director of enterprise operations and security. The system allows lawyers to interact with it to come up with answers to specific questions related to cases and background information. Artifex will even offer suggestions. According to Buchanan Ingersoll’s CTO, Scott M. Angelo, the firm is looking at the commercial implications of releasing Artifex. “We just haven’t gotten to the point where we’re comfortable opening it up to other law firms yet,” Lagana adds. https://lnkd.in/e7DYs_Wn #LegalTechTalk #LegalTech #Legal #Law #AI

VAIOT introduces Legal Torch, a platform that integrates AI Legal Assistant, zk-SNARKs certificates and the Decentralized Dispute Resolution System (DDRS) to modernize and democratize legal processes as part of the Decentralized Law movement. Traditional legal systems often struggle with high costs, lengthy procedures and limited accessibility, creating significant barriers. Decentralized law (DeLaw) is changing the legal industry by integrating blockchain and artificial intelligence technologies into traditional legal processes. DeLaw tackles conventional issues by decentralizing legal services, introducing smart contracts — self-executing contracts with terms directly embedded in code — and leveraging AI for automated legal assistance. This innovative approach reduces costs and saves time while enhancing trust and security in legal transactions. Consequently, professional legal services become more accessible, unlocking new opportunities for individuals and small businesses. https://lnkd.in/eeWgeRxy #LegalTechTalk #LegalTech #Legal #Law #Delaw
