Her answer might surprise you: "I’d encourage any woman to not be intimidated by the word ‘tech’. There is a sense that this is a very male-dominated industry and that you need to be a coder with a PhD in data science. However, the tech industry is vast and covers many different types of roles. Look for roles that intersect with your skills and interests – chances are you will find roles that incorporate both (and if there aren’t, create them!). Legal engineering is a great example: I get to apply both my legal knowledge and my understanding of LLMs in my day-to-day job. I’m back from Singapore — capping two weeks of launch events for Robin AI in the country — and want to share with you why this work means so much to our future. Singapore is now our Asia-Pacific base, with a new office up and running under the leadership of Miles Stanton and Rachel Tan. It’s not only the hub for serving our growing list of Asia-based clients, it’s a bridge to our fantastic Singapore-based investors Temasek. Singapore is ranked third in the latest Global AI Index (https://lnkd.in/eRxMmjDf), which means Robin now operates from three of AI’s four leading countries 🇺🇲 🇬🇧 🇸🇬 The enthusiasm for AI’s potential is palpable in Singapore: from the endless demos of Robin’s legal AI assistant requested by visitors to TechLaw.Fest (organized by the Singapore Academy of Law), to the capacity turnout by General Counsel and strategy leaders at our launch party at the Artemis Grill & Sky Bar.
