We did what we do best at Leiho last night. Create an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging. No matter what they’ve been through, their background or even their talents. Last night was the first time we brought together our beneficiaries that we support with our community. It was such an incredible and intimate event full of tears, warmth and laughter. We invited Anas Hassan to share his skills in poetry and everyone walked away learning a new skill in less than an hour. The quality of poems were outstanding and we wish we could share them all! What a great mid-week event! 🤩

THIS LAUNCH IS LIT. 😉🕯️🌎 Last week we ran an employment workshop for 2 talented and driven ladies from The Baytree Centre. The Baytree Centre is a social inclusion charity supporting women and young girls in Brixton. 4 days later, the candles launched in a store in Brixton Village and today, we are LIVE on our website! 100% soy wax candles. 2 unique scents that destress and uplift your mood. Every candle helps us fund more employment projects like this. Thanks to WeTransfer & Suzanne Hermans for helping us fund this project with their recent co-branded caps. Our cofounders Joey and Thuta spoke last night at the People Like Us x Penguin Random House UK event sharing our story and spreading the love with some smiley socks! We were amongst 9 other incredible speakers with from different backgrounds sharing their inspiring journeys. Everyone was unique and so special in their own ways - the one big takeaway for us was that no matter where you come from, what your passions are, there is always space in this world for you to do great things. And most importantly, there is no one singular way to do so. As Carole Pyke brilliantly put it, "find your sparkle!" ✨ Thank you Sheeraz, Darain, Tanya and all the Board members at the People Like Us team for putting together such a great event.
