🎃 Pumpkin Carving Competition 2024 🎃 👻 We received some amazing submissions this year for our Pumpkin Carving Competition and it made the lives of our judges very difficult! 🏅 But after much deliberation, they landed on Fraser, Age 14 as our winner, and Josh, Age 7 as our Runner up! 🙌 Thanks to everyone who entered and we look forward to even more creative and crazy submissions next year!

👷♂️ This week we welcomed 9 students and 2 lecturers from the CECA Scotland Academy to our MidLairgs Quarry in Inverness. This quarry provides a wide range of products such as asphalt, ready-mix concrete, and sand and gravel. 🔎 The students were given a full tour of the quarry and were in awe at the size of the site and the volume of different products we produce! 💪 Supporting pathways like this aligns with our goals to ensure the next generation are supported and inspired for a career in our industry. #BuiltOnQuality #BuildingScotland #Quarry #CivilEngineering

🙌 New Tankers and Tippers 🙌 We’ve had some excellent recent additions to our fleet including the following: 🔵 480bhp lightweight ADR spec truck with stainless steel tanker for collection and distribution of bitumen for our various asphalt production plants. 🔵 Two new DAF XDC tippers which operate at 32 tonne gross. 👩🔧 Oldmachar Academy Career Fair 👷♂️ 🔵 We kicked off the first of many career events this year at Oldmachar Academy, joined by Sophie, our Apprentice Fabricator/Welder, Grant our CEO, Cheryl our Group HR Advisor, and David, our Contracts Manager for the Civil Engineering and Surfacing Division. 🔵 Sophie joined us in August 2023 based in Rigifa, Cove. She is now in her second year of her apprenticeship and previously attended Oldmachar Academy. Sophie was an asset during the event, sharing her experience and being a role model for the apprenticeship scheme. 🔵 Our goal at these events is to inspire the next generation to pursue careers in our industry by showcasing the wide variety of roles and the many pathways that lead to them. #BuiltOnQuality #BuildingScotland #Construction #Quarry #CivilEngineering
