Leumi UK has provided a £29m facility to CEG: to refinance and progress the initial phases of a major residential scheme in Birmingham.   Located on Smallbrook Queensway in central Birmingham, once developed the site will comprise of three Build-to-Rent towers which will deliver a total of 1,635 apartments making it one of the city’s most significant residential schemes.   Gordon Grech at CEG commented: “We appreciate Leumi UK’s continued support throughout our second transaction together, as well as their ability to move swiftly on what was a complex deal. The team’s clear understanding of the sector and ability to navigate multiple moving parts ensured a smooth process. Leumi UK has completed a £70 million loan to funds managed by Zetland Capital to refinance two four-star Marriott Hotels in Manchester and Edinburgh, marking the second transaction in this partnership following a €51 million facility for the Morrison Hotel in Dublin.   The Marriott Manchester is the largest four-star hotel in Manchester, while the Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood has 160 rooms and has recently undergone extensive refurbishment.   Ahmed Hamdani, of Zetland Capital, said: “Leumi UK’s support has been invaluable, showcasing deep expertise in the hotel sector and our investment strategy.
