The path to net zero by 2050 is clear, but the journey is far from smooth sailing. So how do we bridge the gap between where we are now and a carbon-neutral future? We need both scaled-up existing technologies and groundbreaking innovations, but accessing these investments can be challenging for many. Bas Van Den Brande highlights a promising solution: accessible investment platforms like Carbon Equity. It’s an alternative investment platform purely focused on climate tech. Investing in all these companies is not only a good opportunity from a financial perspective, but it’s also encouraging people to become part of the solution and push the transition to a sustainable future. Investing in climate tech is investing in the future we all want. —— Sign up for #ClimateTechSpotlight's updates on trends, news, and leader interviews delivered straight to your inbox. Last week’s episode of The Down Low with Joe touched on a common mistake when it comes to product launches: treating them like a one-time event instead of a long-term strategy. Joseph Aamidor stressed that a successful launch needs sustained effort over several months. Rolling a product out in public gives you time to gather data, refine your approach, and continuously improve your messaging. Oftentimes when a product launches, two months later it goes radio silent. But this period should still be considered part of the launch phase. Treat it as a sales sequence, instead of a single announcement. Your product launch is just the starting point. Track your progress, fine-tune your messaging, and keep the momentum going for months, not just weeks. —— Don't miss the next episode of The Down Low with Joe on LinkedIn Live, every Tuesday at 3pm BST / 9am CST! #ProductLaunch #MarketingStrategy #DownLowWithJoe

Following the conversation in the latest The Down Low With Joe episode, Lewis Martin and Joseph Aamidor looked into companies and recent product launches that are shaping the built environment. Among those companies is MeterZ. Getting access to accurate, real-time energy data from tenants can be a headache for commercial real estate owners. It's a common problem that's often overlooked by tech vendors. MeterZ provides the solution. Their innovative metering solution and software make it easier to collect, analyze, and integrate data into your existing systems, so you won’t have to make do with guesswork and outdated estimates. With MeterZ, you get a complete picture of your building's energy consumption, helping you make informed decisions that boost efficiency and reduce costs. —— Don't miss the next episode of The Down Low with Joe, airing on LinkedIn Live every Tuesday at 3pm BST / 9am CST. #MeterZ #realestate #DownLowWithJoe #ClimateTech

Ever launched a great product that didn't quite take off? In last week’s episode of The Down Low with Joe, Joseph Aamidor touched on the importance of product launches. What we learned: a great product doesn't guarantee a successful launch. It's not enough to believe your product has value – you need to demonstrate it. Joe emphasized the importance of beta testing with actual customers and tracking key metrics like cost savings, time savings, and ROI. These numbers prove that your product delivers on its promises, making it easier for customers to justify their investment. Product launches are much more than a focus on what your product could do, but what it's already done for real customers. —— Missed the latest episode? The climate tech space is more accessible than you think, even with less than a year of experience. After the conversation we had with Bas Van Den Brande in our Climate Tech Spotlight episode, we thought it would be useful to share some tips to help you join the space. Here’s a roadmap for you to get there: ✅ Identify your transferable skills: Look at the skills you've developed in your current role and identify how they can be applied to climate tech. (E.g. management, data analysis, and communication are becoming highly invaluable) ✅ Discover your niche: Research the different sectors within climate tech and find your niche – from renewable energy to sustainable agriculture. ✅ Network like your future depends on it (because it might): Connect with industry professionals online and at events. Build relationships and learn from those already making an impact. ✅ Always seek to upskill yourself: Fill any knowledge gaps with targeted courses or workshops. Show potential employers your commitment to the field. ✅ Partner with a recruiter: An experienced climate tech recruiter can open doors to opportunities you might not find on your own, which can greatly help your career transition. And lastly, do what you love! There's always a place for your unique talents in the climate tech space. Want to explore your options?
