Updates

  • Earlier this month, the Lexington team was proud to help at a parliamentary event for our pro bono client Mighty Convoy.   🚑 Mighty Convoy raises funds to buy second-hand ambulances, fill them with vital medical aid and food, and drive them across the Ukraine border to support those in need. Lexington took Mighty Convoy on as a client after our very own Alice Fitzgerald volunteered to deliver an ambulance over with them earlier this year.   This parliamentary event, hosted by Daisy Cooper marked the launch of a partnership between Mighty Convoy, International Christian Medical and Dental Association, and the Christian Medical Association of Ukraine. This partnership will pool fundraising, medical, and logistical expertise to allow more aid to be delivered, faster.   In a speech at the event, Lieutenant Mykhaylo Korchynskyy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said:   “We are at a critical turning point for Ukraine. International support is needed now more than ever to save Ukrainian lives – and a large part of the humanitarian aid we receive comes from small charities and organisations. Charitable action from organisations like Mighty Convoy, ICMDA and the CMAU is absolutely invaluable to the Ukrainian cause, helping sick and injured civilians and soldiers alike. "   Thank you to Alice Fitzgerald and Lorelei Booth, and to everyone that came along to show their support and solidarity. Please visit the Mighty Convoy website for information on how to get involved delivering life-saving aid and rescue vehicles to Ukraine. https://lnkd.in/eT3aji47

  • Last week the Government announced one of the most dramatic shakeups to the health service in over a decade - the abolition of NHS England. Bringing decision-making back into government hands, this move places the burden of responsibility squarely at the feet of the Prime Minister and the Health Secretary. So why was this decision taken? And critically, how should businesses react and begin to navigate this period of upheaval? Lexington's Phoebe Watson breaks it down below ⬇️

  • Lunch & Learn with Lisa Tremble, Chief People, Corporate Affairs, and Sustainability Officer at British Airways ✈   We were delighted to host former Lexington Director, Lisa Tremble, for a Q&A session with our CEO, Emily Cook. Lisa shared insights from her diverse career, from her early days as a Parliamentary assistant to her leadership role at British Airways.   Lisa spoke about the importance of purpose-driven work and emphasised how this has been a key foundation in her career. She also reflected on how her background in politics helped her anticipate challenges when transitioning to the world of business with the ability to think several steps ahead.   Her advice for women in leadership - be clear on your direction, build a strong team, and set boundaries - particularly when it comes to work-life balance, as she admirably balances being a mother of three with an impressive career.   A big thank you to Lisa for inspiring us all with her wisdom, insight and advice.   #WomenInLeadership #IWD2025

  • 🌊 Lexington was delighted to support the Great Blue Ocean (GBO) coalition of conservation organisations, and the UK Overseas Territories Association (UKOTA) as they hosted a special reception in Parliament last week. The event celebrated the vibrant nature and biodiversity of the UK Overseas Territories, along with the vital Blue Belt and Darwin Plus programmes, which fund critical work to enhance ecosystems, communities, and local economies.   The reception saw a strong turnout of UK Ministers, including speakers Mary Creagh CBE MP and Uma Kumaran, cross-party MPs, Peers, and officials, as well as Lexington's own Ben Lucas, Senior Consultant and Labour Councillor. Supported by our team of expert political and social value consultants, we helped ensure a smooth and impactful event on the night! #ShapeTomorrow #PublicAffairs
