At LHC we have the opportunity to create and distribute a Community Benefit Fund 🌟. The fund is generated from the rebate members receive if they spend over a specified threshold on our #frameworks. We work with Locality to distribute grants to worthwhile projects and causes. An example of this is Greenhill Housing Association who have received a grant from our LHC Community Benefit Fund! 🙌 We are delighted 😊 to see that this grant will #refurbish the communal lounge at Dashwood Court in #Hounslow. 📣 Meet our Board 📣 As a not-for-profit, Company Limited by Guarantee, we are proud of our unique governance structure with over half of our Board of Directors appointed by bodies governed by public law. This structure grants LHCPG central purchasing and authority status and drives our mission of improving lives and places of the #communities we work within by reinvesting surplus funds back into social value projects. Over the next few weeks we will introduce you to each of our Board of Directors, beginning with our Chair, Simon Wilson. Simon is an experienced Independent Consultant and Interim leader, specialising in Board-level roles across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. The UK National Audit Office (NAO) published a report this week looking at #maintenance backlogs across key #public #service buildings and the how poorly maintained property can negatively affect the delivery of services to the public. Maintenance backlogs are estimated to be at least £49 billion with schools and healthcare buildings ranking the joint second highest at £13.8 billion each. Local governments face the same challenges as cost increases, inflationary pressures and aging #buildings nearing the end of their intended operational life, exacerbate the problem. The report highlighted that a range of measures are urgently needed to address the issue of poor maintenance and ensure that buildings remain safe, functional and comfortable for the public. 🏗️ We have a range of solutions designed to support #councils and other #public bodies tackle their own maintenance backlogs in support of the NAO recommendations around strategic asset management planning. 📢 LHC Procurement Group are delighted to announce a series of Key leadership appointments 📢 LHCPG welcomes three key figures under the leadership of Clive Feeney MIoD, MIoL, who has been named as Group CEO, having previously held the role of Group Managing Director since April 2023. Clive will continue to lead LHCPG through its next phase of #growth whilst deepening the impact on the #communities LHCPG operates in.  We are also thrilled to welcome two new members to our board, Craig Glasper, CEO of Greenhill Housing Association, and Martin Ford, director of assets and maintenance for Wales & West Housing. Both Craig and Martin bring extensive expertise in #propertydevelopment and #governance enhancing the Board’s collective strength.  In addition, LHC has appointed Michael McLaughlin into Group social value manager role which will be pivotal in further integrating LHC’s #socialvalue operations.
