As of October 2023, 100% of our electricity has come from renewable sources! 🌱 This achievement forms part of the second pillar of our 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨, and we're not stopping here! Our goal is to be running on 100% 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 by 2025. Here are the key steps we've already taken and what’s coming next: ☀️ 𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒂𝒓 𝑷𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓: Solar panels installed at our Cannock and Rutland sites in 2022 and 2023, significantly boosting our renewable energy production. ⚡𝑬𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒕 𝑻𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒔: With 14 already in operation, we're converting our entire forklift truck fleet to fully electric vehicles, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. 🌍 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝑹𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒘𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈: We’re working on replacing our current gas and oil heating systems with fully renewable energy sources. This is just the beginning of our journey towards a greener, more sustainable future as we continue to invest in clean energy, reduce our carbon footprint, and lead the way in sustainable manufacturing! 💚🌿 #SustainabilityManifesto #GreenEnergy #RenewableElectricity #SustainableManufacturing #RenewableEnergy #LinecrossSustainability

📢 This week, we are thrilled to spotlight our brilliant Senior Commercial Manager, Jenna Pearce.🌟 Jenna manages purchasing across both Linecross sites, ensuring we have all the parts needed for production and developing a strong, sustainable supply chain. At our Cannock site, she leads our customer service, dispatch teams, and IT activities. Recently, she’s taken on the role of sustainability champion, driving our journey to net zero emissions. With a degree from the University of Cambridge and an impressive career at Bentley Motors and JCB, Jenna has built extensive experience in different industries and supply chains. She joined Linecross over four years ago, and her contributions have been invaluable. With 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 23% 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧, we asked Jenna for her advice to others pursuing careers in this industry: "Embrace opportunities for development and involvement in other business areas. Don’t be deterred by the lack of women in senior positions; this is your chance to bring something new and drive change. Make your voice heard!” 👏 #WomenInManufacturing #ManufacturingLeadership #SustainabilityChampion #MouldingtheFuture #TeamLinecross

The first pillar of our sustainability strategy is carbon management and we’ve been making big steps on our journey to net-zero. We aim to reduce our carbon footprint to 0tCO2e by 2030 (excluding raw materials) and by 2050 0tCO2e, including raw materials. Progress so far… 100% renewable energy since October 2023, from: 🌍 Solar panels 12 – 15 % of electric generation 🌍 Electric/hybrid fleet of company vehicles 🌍 Closed loop recycling of waste – zero to landfill since 2021 🌍 Recycle all vacuum-forming materials #sustainabilitystrategy #carbonfootprint #carbonreduction #netzero #journeytonetzero

This week, we are shining a spotlight on Project Manager Marcin Milczarek, who has been integral to our team since joining us in 2010. Marcin started working for Linecross in 2010 as an operator and built his experience across several production departments, including vacuum forming and assembly. After four years, he joined our engineering team and acquired skills in operating toolroom machinery and CAD systems. Marcin supported this by undertaking courses in business operations, process improvement, team leadership, and management. In 2017, Marcin became Associate Project Manager, and we sponsored his HNC in Manufacturing Engineering based on polymers, which he completed in 2019, achieving a distinction grade. In 2021, he was promoted to Project Manager, working with customers across industries on their new product developments. In the past two years, he has mentored our latest engineering apprentice through their work and education program. “The most rewarding aspect of my role is the diversity of processes and continuous innovations that challenge me and contribute to my personal growth. The opportunity to transform ideas into tangible products for our clients is fulfilling, and I am grateful for the chance to play a part in bringing these visions to life.” #mouldingthefuture #teamLinecross #Linecrossfamily
