About us
Local Partnerships - the public sector delivery specialists Local Partnerships is a joint venture between the Local Government Association, HM Treasury and Welsh Government. We help the public sector deliver projects and change at the local level. We provide an interface between central government policy and local delivery to ensure key priorities are achieved and clients secure excellent value for money. We are a hands-on organisation and work collaboratively for the benefit of our clients, often sitting alongside project teams, rather than providing advice from afar. We bring public and private sector experience that provides confidence, additional capacity and commercial capability. We provide trusted, professional support and advice across multiple disciplines including regeneration and housing, waste, infrastructure, mergers and shared services, developing commercial capability and integrating health and social care. We help the public sector explore alternative local government models as part of devolution discussions and financial restructuring, formal collaboration and merger, acting as independent broker between different parties. We provide support for the production of business cases for councils wishing to invest in energy, housing and social investment as part of their commercial-led strategies. Our team of experts works solely for the benefit of the public sector, helping councils and combined authorities overcome challenges and improve their chances of success.

Really enjoyed todays Resource Conference Cymru. #ciwmrrc25. So much discussion and networking, it’s truly been a “binspiration’. Had the privilege of introducing Huw Irranca-Davies, Deputy First Minister & Cabinet Member for Climate Change at Senedd Cymru, for his key note speech. So much passion and enthusiasm for transformation. Andrew Gore and Sophie Crossette from Local Partnerships LLP delivered a great workshop on ETS. So much learning and debate in the room of how to prepare for the changes.

Procurement Act profiled in process mapping – our free Business Process Mapping (BPM) Toolkit has been updated! https://lnkd.in/embgPPsU Perfecting procurement and contract management processes has been vital for many councils in meeting the requirements of the Procurement Act. Our BPM Toolkit – developed with the backing of Crown Commercial Service (CCS) – has been updated to include new guidance on the Act and how it affects each stage of procurement and contract delivery. The updated BPM Toolkit includes: ✅ Guidance for councils on running their own process mapping ✅ NEW: Additional content covering the new Procurement Act regulations ✅ Clarity on where notices fit into the process ✅ Dealing with direct awards ✅ The different and changing requirements of the workforce Each new section is supported by detailed expert input – including changes to the workforce, produced in collaboration with recruitment specialists Michael Page. Natalia Silver, Director at Local Partnerships, who leads on the toolkit and process mapping, said: “We know councils have extremepressure on their time, so the toolkit has been designed to provide quick reference to run process mapping for the complete commissioning lifecycle. It was first established with Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and further enhanced with CCS in response to local authorities looking to improve contract management and align with new regulations.”. This update is part of our wider support to councils through the Contract Management Pioneer Programme (CMPP), delivered in partnership with CCS. We would like to thank the following councils and organisations for testing the toolkit so it can be relevant to local authorities of different scales and structures: Sandwell Council, Harrow Council, Slough Borough Council, Derbyshire County Council, North Yorkshire Council, Bradford Council, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Norwich City Council and City of Wolverhampton Council , plus the organisations of Greater Manchester Combined Authority and PUBLIC SECTOR PROCUREMENT SERVICES LIMITED.
