Having kicked off 2025 with our acquisitions of Oakwood Homes in Kent, and Uni2 Rent in Nottingham, our attention has turned to the North West in recent weeks.  We’re pleased to announce that we have acquired the lettings book of Edward Mellor Estate Agents, one of the longest standing and most widely respected agents in the Manchester area. Our two flagship brands in the region, Thornley Groves Estate Agents and Julian Wadden, will be taking the reins of the 900 properties currently under management, significantly bolstering our stronghold in the North West and making another confident stride with respect to our growth plans for the year ahead. Lomond Awards 2025🏆 A couple of weeks ago, I got to experience the highly anticipated, annual Lomond Awards for the very first time in which it was as spectacular, inspiring and thrilling as I hoped it would be. Over the past 12 months since joining John Shepherd through an acquisition; a few of my many targets was to establish myself in what was a new department switching from lettings to sales, impress wherever I could with a never say no mentality, and ultimately to perform to the best of my abilities in order to be invited to this years awards ceremony among our companies best performing individuals. Glad to say when I got the invite to the Lomond Awards this year, I was more than happy to tick off another target achieved but as the day turned out; this was not the only achievement waiting for me… Seeing my name nominated alone was surreal, but for my colleagues to vote and recognise me to be awarded as the ‘Best Newcomer’ for the year at John Shepherd was a true honour, and a standout highlight of my professional career to date. Lomond Awards Ceremony 2025 Last week, we hosted our annual Lomond Awards Ceremony in Central London, bringing together teams from across the country, from Aberdeen to Brighton, to celebrate our incredible achievements over the course of last year! The day started with an inspiring awards presentation led by our exceptional senior team, recognising outstanding contributions across all departments. This was followed by our highly anticipated charity raffle, which raised an incredible £10,000 for Centrepoint A huge thank you to everyone for their donations!
