I am honoured to announce that my team has won the 2025 Optiver Excel Challenge: Mastering Probabilistic Decisions! After weeks of analysing data, refining probabilistic models, and making strategic decisions under uncertainty, we emerged as the Overall Winner. The challenge tested not just our technical Excel skills, but also our ability to think critically, adapt quickly, and work as a team under pressure. Huge thanks to Optiver, LSE Careers, and the LSE Digital Skills Lab for organising such a fantastic competition, and a special shoutout to my teammates—I couldn’t have asked for a better team! This experience has reinforced my passion for data-driven decision-making, probabilistic modelling, and financial markets, and I’m excited to apply these skills in the future. For any LSE students interested in finance, trading, or data analytics, I highly recommend getting involved in challenges like this—they push you beyond the numbers, develop your skills, and help you make real-world decisions.

Huge congratulations to the Optiver Excel Challenge 2025 winning teams! 👏👏👏 The challenge, organised by the Digital Skills Lab and LSE Careers in collaboration with Optiver, culminated today with an awards ceremony celebrating the achievements of our 39 participants. Students worked on projects to demonstrate how they used Excel to predict markets in real life scenarios, displaying skills in probabilistic thinking, problem solving, data analysis, forecasting and communication.
