We recently shared some of the beautiful original details that have been uncovered on one of our current projects, one of which is a stunning wallpaper which we just knew had to somehow make it into the new scheme. In order to do this we have been working with Barry Ward & Mallion and Knowles to create an identical design which we can print onto fabrics and wallpapers for the new scheme as a nod to the buildings' past life. Wow, we have accidentally neglected our socials lately but we are back! We currently have a number of schemes underway for pubs and restaurants. One of which is a beautiful Grade 2 listed hotel & pub in the Peak District that we are hoping to bring back to life. O'Grady's Irish Show bar, Ingoldmells.. We undertook a full refurbishment of this fantastic space earlier this year, transforming the bar from dark and closed off to open and bright. Previously the building had housed a dodgem ride track and then an amusement arcade before settling on its use as a showbar and the interior was dark & tired. We opened up the space from 2 separate rooms each with a small bar area into one large space with a central bar, we designed a central back bar to showcase the spirits on offer using a metal framework with glazed shelving to keep the space open so that staff & customers alike can see through to all areas of the bar. We utilised the idea of the bar being loosely Irish themed to curate a colour & texture palette which was comfortable and inviting, using pops of green in patterns and plains throughout, with the furniture a mix between poseur & dining height with some comfy lounge furniture added around the edges and feature fixed seating added to utilise space and add focus areas. The suspended ceiling tiles were replaced and painted dark with an area of feature tiles added to create a central focus. Check out the finished images... Swipe to the end for some befores! Last year we undertook a refurbishment of the golf clubhouse at Addlethorpe golf & country club due to their existing one being worn out and tired. Our client had just taken over the golf course and their plan was to develop the site into a golf holiday destination, they have added luxury lodges and upgraded their clubhouse to become a space in which golfers can relax throughout the day and holidaymakers can relax and have an evening meal & drink on an evening.
