What do you think great managers do? We asked this question to managers, employees and CEOs at Unleash World in Paris last week - and the responses were eye-opening. A striking 60% of the answers were completely unique, highlighting that everyone has their own philosophy on what makes a good manager. But there were some key characteristics mentioned multiple times: 🥇 Shows empathy 🥈 Trusts their team 🥉 Listens well It’s interesting that all of these qualities are about valuing the employee and empowering them, rather than taking charge or ‘doing’. In fact, they create a core component of a coaching style of leadership, which research shows is THE best way to improve overall team performance and wellbeing. So isn’t it a shame that 80% of managers haven’t ever had any formal training to help them develop these qualities? It really is no surprise that employee engagement is at an all-time low when so many managers are left to figure things out on their own. Let’s change that - by giving managers the tools and frameworks they need to lead effectively. What do YOU think great managers do? Let us know in the comments.

Join us on September 12th at One Great Cumberland Place to dive into this intriguing paradox. You can expect a lively debate and practical tips on how to achieve genuine trust and transparency in organisations that are typically designed to erode it. 👉 Free sign-up here: https://lnkd.in/emcnzk6u
