Today. Tomorrow. With care.

About us

We’re the team that the IT leaders of tech-dependant organisations come to when they need to really shake things up, innovate (effectively), and tackle their transformational challenges head on. Chasing quarterly profit targets and “spreadsheet selling” like the big boys do doesn’t really put a customer’s needs first, does it? This traditional approach, used by many IT partners, has failed to evolve in-line with customer needs, but we want to put that right. By listening hard, caring fiercely, and take a decidedly ‘un-big’ approach, we can give our customers an independent and objective view and help them create true business value. And we’re proud to say we’re great at what we do. Being privately-owned, and unencumbered, means we can use our commercial experience to make your money go further (often achieving savings of 30-50%), and our technical expertise and industry relationships to ensure our solutions take away your pain. By doing so, we can set you up for success today, tomorrow and the day after that.

👻 Who You Gonna Call? Maple Networks! 👻 As part of our Cyber Awareness Month campaign, the IT Horror Series explores the eerie challenges IT professionals face, offering strategies to combat today’s unpredictable cyber threats. When your IT systems are on the fritz, the temptation to handle everything in-house can be strong. But sometimes, tackling digital “ghosts” on your own only wastes time, drains resources, and leads to more sleepless nights. That’s where outsourcing steps in—the smart choice for restoring order, saving resources, and bringing peace of mind back to your team. Just like in Ghostbusters (1984), when New York faced chaos, they didn’t rely on just anyone—they called in specialists. The right experts, equipped to handle the unexpected, took on the task swiftly and effectively. Similarly, outsourcing IT isn’t about admitting defeat; it’s about knowing when to call in professionals who can handle challenges quickly and keep things running smoothly. With cyber threats lurking like unseen ghosts, having expert support ensures issues are addressed before they haunt your operations. So next time you’re facing an IT nightmare too big to handle solo, remember: Who you gonna call? 📞💻 #ITHorrors #CyberAwarenessMonth #StaySafeOnline #ITSupport #Cybersecurity #MapleNetworks

🤠The Texas Data Massacre – A Lesson in Data Management 💀 As part of our Cyber Awareness Month campaign, the IT Horror Series explores the eerie challenges IT professionals face, offering strategies to combat today’s unpredictable cyber threats. 👻 Just like the chaos in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, data can descend into disarray if not handled properly. Poor data management is a silent threat, waiting to turn your information into a nightmare scenario. Missing backups, inconsistent file organisation, and lax security measures can lead to devastating consequences for your business. But it doesn’t have to be a horror story. The best practices for data management are your survival tools: 🔁 Regular Backups: Keep your data safe by ensuring frequent, reliable backups. It’s your escape route when things go wrong. 🚿 Data Hygiene: Clean up duplicate, outdated, or irrelevant files. Clutter makes it harder to find what you need in critical moments. 🕶️Access Controls: Limit access to sensitive data to those who truly need it. This reduces the risk of accidental or malicious breaches. 💻Audits & Monitoring: Regularly review your data practices to ensure everything is secure and up-to-date. Don’t wait for a disaster to remind you how important good data management is. By staying proactive, you can avoid the massacre and keep your organisation’s data safe from chaos. #ITHorrors #CyberAwarenessMonth #StaySafeOnline #DataManagement #MapleNetworks

👾IT’s Alive – Ransomware Edition 💀 As part of our Cyber Awareness Month campaign, the IT Horror Series explores the eerie challenges IT professionals face, offering strategies to combat today’s unpredictable cyber threats. 👻 This week’s terror? Ransomware. It’s not just a scary story—it’s real, and it’s alive. Just like Dr. Frankenstein’s creation, ransomware is pieced together from malicious code and brought to life, wreaking havoc on anything in its path. 🕸️ What is ransomware? It’s malicious software that encrypts your data, leaving it useless unless you pay the ransom. The cost? Massive downtime, financial devastation, and a hit to your reputation that can be tough to recover from. But this doesn’t have to be your horror story. With the right defences, you can defeat ransomware before it wreaks havoc. Here’s how to safeguard your systems: 🛡️ Back up regularly: Ensure critical data is stored offsite or in the clouds—even if ransomware attacks, you can recover. 🔒 Automate security updates: Keep your systems patched and close off vulnerabilities before they’re exploited. ⚡ Test your response plan: Make sure your team is ready to act fast if an attack strikesstrikes—speed is your survival tool. Don’t let ransomware turn your business into a real-life horror. Have you ever experienced the terror of a ransomware attack? 🎥 Paranormal Activity: SIEM Edition 👻 Welcome back to our Halloween Cyber Scaries series! This time, we’re exploring eerie IT moments when systems seem to have a mind of their own. But it’s not ghosts you should fear—it’s anomalies lurking in your logs! Think of your SIEM logs as hidden cameras catching spooky behaviour: unusual traffic spikes, strange 3 AM logins, or mysterious file transfers. These “paranormal” activities could signal cyber threats creeping through your systems. 💻 What’s the cause of this paranormal activity? It could be anything from a targeted attack to malware trying to blend in, unnoticed. Your logs are the digital footprints left behind, giving you clues to spot these ghostly presences before they turn into a full-blown security breach. But just like in any good horror movie, you must know what you’re looking for! How to detect and control paranormal activity in your IT environment: 🚨 Strange activity often goes unnoticed when logs are ignored. Review them daily to catch irregular behaviour early. 🔧 Configure your SIEM system to flag unusual patterns, like repeated failed logins, strange times of access, or unexplained spikes in traffic. 🕵️♂️ No “ghost” is too small—every irregularity could be the start of something bigger. Track it down before it escalates. There’s no need to call ghostbusters. With strong security controls, regular monitoring, and a proactive approach, you can keep these digital spectres at bay. 👻 Ever spotted paranormal activity in your IT systems? Share your story or reach out to learn how to strengthen your security controls and banish those ghostly anomalies from your logs for good. #ITHorrors #CyberAwarenessMonth #StaySafeOnline #SIEMSecurity #MapleNetworks

👽The Thing: Cyber Threats from Another World 🌌 As part of our Cyber Awareness Month campaign, the IT Horror Series explores the eerie challenges IT professionals face, offering strategies to combat today’s unpredictable cyber threats. 👻 Just like the creature in The Thing, cyber threats can strike from anywhere—cloud systems, on-premises infrastructure, or even endpoint devices. 🖥️ These shapeshifters bypass defences, corrupting data and locking systems when you least expect it. 😱 When a cyber incident occurs, it spreads rapidly, infecting backups and crippling operations. This is where immutable storage comes to the rescue. 🛡️ Whether on-premises or in the cloud, immutable backups prevent any alterations, ensuring a reliable recovery point after an attack. 💾 Adding air-gapped backups—isolating copies of your data—provides another layer of protection. 🔒 This ensures your backups remain untouched, giving you a secure path to recovery, no matter where the threat originated. Cyber threats can come from anywhere, but with the right preparation, you can recover swiftly. ⚡ Want to ensure your business is protected? Reach out to Maple for a free consultation on backup and disaster recovery strategies. 📞 #ITHorrors #CyberAwarenessMonth #StaySafeOnline #S3Storage #DisasterRecovery #MapleNetworks

🔇 The Silence of The Servers 🦋 As part of our Cyber Awareness Month campaign, we dive into the spooky side of IT in our Horror Series. This week, we face every IT pro's nightmare: The Silence of the Servers. There’s nothing more unsettling than silence where there should be noise—no blinking lights, no hum of activity. When servers fall silent, it’s more than just eerie—it’s a sign of trouble. Whether it’s a sudden failure or a DDoS attack, server downtime can halt operations, lock away critical data, and leave businesses vulnerable. ⚠️ To stay protected and avoid the silence of your servers, here are some pro tips: 👓 Implement real-time monitoring of your network and servers using tools like Maple’s Managed Services for TDR (Threat Detection and Response). This ensures that any abnormal silence—such as network downtimes or system errors—can be identified and addressed before causing major disruptions. 🚨 Regularly conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses that could lead to a server going down unnoticed. 🔧 Perform routine server maintenance including hardware checks, software updates, and patch management. This helps mitigate the risk of unplanned downtime caused by overlooked issues. 📰 Train your team on cyber hygiene practices and engage in Cyber Awareness initiatives, like Maple’s IT Horror Series, to stay informed about the latest threats and how to protect against them. Don’t let your servers become a silent horror story. Keep your business alive and well, reach out to Maple today! #ITHorrors #CyberAwarenessMonth #StaySafeOnline #NetworkSecurity #MapleNetworks
