About us

Marketing Derby promotes Derby and Derbyshire in order to support and attract investment. We do this by raising Derby's profile, communicating positive news and working closely with our partners Derby City Council and over 300 private sector businesses who fund our work. We call these businesses our 'Bondholders' We have two key target audiences: 1. The 1.5m people who live and work in the greater Derby area; 2. Investors, end users and the media across the UK and beyond.

    Derbyshire Wildlife Trust has created a new circular walk at one of its nature reserves. Thanks to £65,000 funding from the Veolia Environmental Trust through the Landfill Communities Fund, with contributions from Transforming the Trent Valley, Mansfield Building Society Charitable Trust and Willington Parish Council, the trust has reconnected a five-mile walk and created a new viewing platform at Willington Wetlands Nature Reserve. The funding has enabled the trust to improve existing trackway, create further new path and install a bridge over a brook to provide the vital missing links. Read more 👉 https://buff.ly/46Tx2ZP

    Derby Museums has announced it has teamed up with Derby CAMRA to stage a new beer festival this winter. Taking place at the Museum of Making from Wednesday 13 to Saturday 16 November, the Derby CAMRA Heritage Beer Festival, which will celebrate the city’s rich brewing heritage.     Professional orchestra Sinfonia Viva has announced an expanded programme of performances in Derby in the coming year following the success of its 2023/2024 return series. Between October and June 2025, the Derby-based orchestra will double its programme, performing 10 concerts at its partner venues – Derby Cathedral and Derby Museums’ Museum of Making.     More green spaces, a better mix of shops, more murals and even trams – these are just some of the ‘dreams’ for Derby that have been shared so far by the public at the Derby City Lab. While the purpose of the lab is to engage and inform people about its regeneration future, ever since it opened its doors just over two years ago, it has also been encouraging those who visit to give their thoughts on how Derby could be made better. An essential part of the lab, which is located on Level 2 of the Derbion, is its ‘Engagement Corner’, which allows visitors the opportunity to share their views and opinions to help shape their place.
