Analysis from Cornerstone OnDemand, which looked at 40TB worth of #jobmarket data, found that there was more demand for human or ‘#softskills’ than #digitalskills. This is despite AI and #machinelearning job postings increasing by 66% globally. Our MD, Gareth Hoyle, spoke to IT Pro UK about the importance of #peopleskills … “My view is that people skills are key to make a business and a team work successfully. When #recruiting, I want to see candidates who are self-starters who can demonstrate strong #communication skills, able to solve problems and generally have that ambition to learn. I also look for people who can work successfully and efficiently whilst working from home or in a hybrid environment, something that is particularly important to my business. Candidates with an understanding of digital tools #AI may be beneficial, but not completely essential as they can be learnt on the job. Employees who are already trained to use AI and other digital tools will be expected to keep their skills up to date as new technologies are introduced, therefore it wouldn’t be difficult for new team members to get trained up alongside them. Plus, AI technology is still relatively new and many are continuously evolving to make them more effective and user friendly, meaning that regular training will be needed for everyone to understand how to use them accurately.” You can read the full article here 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/eUyU6EF4

Let’s talk awareness days in #DigitalPR 👇🏻 Should they be a part of your #strategy or not? 🤷🏻♀️ It’s crucial to only use them when: 🤝 They align with your values 🎯 They’re #relevant to your brand or business 🧠 You can add to the conversation with interesting insights Pick a few that you’ll use in your #campaigns but don’t go overboard with every #awarenessday or event that you come across. Less stress ✅ More energy ✅ More flexibility ✅ Improved productivity ✅ Just some of the benefits of the #fourdayweek! 🙌🏻 Alice Lang, our Senior Digital PR Executive, spoke to The Times about her experience working the four day week. Including how her #worklifebalance has improved drastically and how she’s happier and more #productive. 👇🏻 https://lnkd.in/eS54Ahki For companies that decide to go from five days to four, the move requires careful planning. Alice Lang, 30, said her firm split the workforce into two teams who alternate between working Monday to Thursday and Tuesday to Friday. “This ensures every employee has a four-day work week each week, but with alternating two-day and four-day weekends.” Before the switch, brought in last March, she worked seven hours a day; she now does eight. “My work-life balance has improved drastically. When I worked five days, I worked all day, packed workouts, cooking and some socialising into my evenings, and like most 9-5ers, would be knackered by Friday.” Now, she said: “I’m less stressed and, generally, happier, which naturally impacts the quality of my work. I find I can concentrate more, have fewer dips in energy, and just feel more productive. I believe I get the same amount of work done in four days as I used to in five, and my long weekends mean I can go on lots of city breaks. I’d say it’s increased my loyalty to the company, too.” #Productivity #Flexibleworking #Remoteworking
