Our classes are appropriate for both the novice and experienced exerciser, and each class will be individually tailored to your fitness needs and abilities. Classes include cardio-vascular fitness, strength training and particular focus on core stability and pelvic floor training – the muscles which help to support your baby as you grow during pregnancy. If you are pregnant and are interested in starting your exercise journey or if you want to be as fit and strong as possible during your pregnancy, then look no further. Team GB has nine mums competing in the Paris 2024 games – the most ever. As well as demonstrating their epic sporting abilities, the athletes are also using the Olympics as a chance to champion mums everywhere. The first Team GB mother to win a medal at Paris 2024 was Mathilda Hodgkins-Byrne, 29, who took bronze in the women's double sculls. Mother-of-three, and Helen Glover won silver in the coxless four, having previously won coxless pairs gold at Rio and London. Ros Canter took Gold in the Team Eventing Competition, and Amber Rutter, who won silver in the women’s skeet shooting, gave birth to son Tommy just over three months ago. Then on Monday Katy Marchant became the fifth mother to win a medal for Team GB at Paris 2024, as she helped secure track cycling team sprint gold in a world record time. In 2021, UK Sport developed pregnancy guidance, to ensure support is provided for Olympic and Paralympic athletes who want to have a child whilst a member of a high-performance funded programme, recognising that raising a family and being an elite athlete should not be mutually exclusive. We enhanced this in 2023 to help both athletes and those that work with them. On the release of updated guidance our CEO, Sally Munday, said: “The welfare and wellbeing of athletes and their families is a top priority for us. We will, naturally, continue to monitor the effectiveness of the guidance and would welcome feedback which could help inform future editions.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/gk2swagj #Paris2024
