The Maxwell Centre, University of Cambridge is proud to be the home of the newly established SAS Advanced Analytics Hub. As our Director Agnieszka Iwasiewicz-Wabnig FRSA said, “We are excited to interface Cambridge’s world-class research and innovation with SAS’ leading expertise in advanced analytics and AI forming a partnership for societal good."

We are delighted to share a letter that Professor Sir Mark Welland and Professor Sir Richard Friend published on our website in April, announcing Dr Agnieszka Iwasiewicz-Wabnig FRSA appointment as the Director of the Maxwell Centre, University of Cambridge. 𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐫 𝐀𝐠𝐚 𝐈𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐳-𝐖𝐚𝐛𝐧𝐢𝐠 We want to congratulate Aga for 2 outstanding achievements. The recent announcement of Aga’s appointment as Director of the Maxwell Centre is recognition of the skills Aga has developed since the inception of the Maxwell Centre. As the first two Directors of the Centre we have benefitted enormously from the support that Aga has given us, whether making strategic decisions looking into the future, securing new industrial partnerships through a highly professional and innovative approach to external engagement or simply by keeping the wheels on in sometimes challenging situations! So we were delighted that Aga’s manifest competencies as Director of Partnership Development were recognised by the university in her appointment as Director. We have no doubt that the Centre is in excellent hands and look forward to seeing future innovations, especially in developing new strategies and partnerships, that Aga will no doubt realise. In her spare time, whatever that means, Aga has been enrolled at Stanford LEAD, the flagship year-long online executive education programme of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, CA, USA. The LEAD programme helps to develop organisational leadership skills based on cutting-edge research in management and social sciences, complementing Aga’s scientific background in physics, materials and nanoscience. Aga not only completed this prestigious course, but she won a coveted Impact Award for the Pacesetters cohort of Stanford LEAD, comprising 483 executives and professionals from over 300 organisations in 55 countries. The image below sees Aga celebrating her award on 20th March 2024 with Prof Peter DeMarzo, the John G. McDonald Professor of Finance at Stanford GSB. Aga says she is passionate about lifelong learning and catalysing impact, and applies the Stanford GSB motto “Change Lives. Change Organizations.
