At Mecca, we're incredibly proud to actively support the communities we serve and make a positive impact!     Our #Romford team are on a roll this year, not only supporting our charity partner, Carers Trust, but also supporting local causes. The team recently took part in a memory walk for Saint Francis Hospice, raising an impressive £575 and counting! 🎉 But they’re not stopping there – they’re now collecting food and clothes donations as part of their ongoing commitment to support S.M.I.L.E, a charity dedicated to providing essential items to those in need.     A huge shout-out to Victor Odulate (General Manager) and the entire team for doing a fantastic job in making a real difference where it's needed most.      #community #meccacares #charity #fundraising 

Introducing Mecca Bingo’s Caller of the Year... Kelly Horton! 🎉    A huge congratulations to Kelly Horton, who has just been crowned Mecca Bingo’s Caller of the Year! After battling through regional heats and a thrilling head-to-head against five other finalists, Kelly came out on top!    Kelly, who has been calling bingo at our #BrierleyHill venue for an incredible 17 years, wowed everyone with her enthusiasm, strong rapport with customers, and some fantastic interactive line dancing skills! During the final, she nailed a perfect game of bingo before getting the whole crowd on their feet with a remix of the R&B classic, Stand by Me! Her flawless calling and dance moves impressed our panel of judges.    We’re proud to announce that Kelly will be heading to Wakefield in November to represent #MeccaBingo in the National Bingo Game Caller of the Year competition. Every year, we love to take a moment to celebrate the successes of our club teams, whose constant hard work in delivering top-notch service for our customers and supporting their colleagues never goes unnoticed.  Following an exceptional year of business performance across customer, colleague, commercial, and compliance areas in FY23/24, 23 of our fabulous General Managers and one Regional Operations Manager were treated to a very well-deserved, all-expenses paid trip to Portugal last week!   Andy Crump Mecca Managing Director, shared: ‘‘Last year we had 9 top performers on the trip, and this year, that number has more than doubled. A couple of weeks ago, we told you about 16 colleagues from #MeccaBingo #Dagenham who were getting ready to walk the 10 miles from their venue all the way to Mecca Bingo in #ElthamHill. The team were raising awareness and funds for Carers Trust who do incredible work supporting #unpaidcarers across the UK. Well, we’re excited to share that they did it! 🎉 They smashed the 10-mile walk in just 3 hours and 30 minutes, raising an incredible £1,440 - and the donations are still rolling in! Braving the Shave for Carers Trust!    This week, Mike Donnison, GM at #MeccaBingo #Blyth, took on a bold challenge to support Carers Trust...   …Mike promised to shave his head if his team could raise £500 in just one week. And guess what? They did it! Thanks to the incredible efforts of the team, they surpassed their goal, raising over £500! 🎉 Mike kept his promise and shaved off his hair, showing his unwavering support for #unpaidcarers.    A huge thank you to Mike, the entire team, and the customers at Mecca Blyth for their continued support and generosity.
