How can pharma mitigate for human error when updating websites? A recent voluntary admission (https://lnkd.in/esqnK8Mb) was made by AbbVie to the PMCPA regarding a live webpage which was later identified as uncertified. The page had been certified and downloaded from the approval platform; however, the wrong version of the page was made live by a third-party agency. This highlighted that despite … 💠  having strong policies and procedures in place 💠  ensuring that third party agencies had appropriate training 💠  the master services agreement being clear as to the responsibilities of third parties … AbbVie were found in breach of clauses of 8.1 and 5.1 due to human error. Of course, mistakes happen despite our best efforts, but is there anything else that AbbVie could have done to prevent this? 👍 Yes 👍 They could have introduced a Digital AQP to the approval process providing an extra layer of security whilst also reducing signatory time. medDigital can provide or train Digital AQPs who carry out detailed pre-live and post-live checks to cover content, functionality and page metadata across devices. 🔷 If you would like to learn more, please see https://lnkd.in/e2U5Vahm. 🔷 If you would like us to discuss this with our team, please get in touch via https://lnkd.in/ehbGJRAa. 🔷 If you would like to watch our recent webinar on this topic* email us at contact@medDigital.com. *Please note that these videos are restricted to those who registered and/or attended the webinar. 🎗️ World Psoriasis Day Living with psoriasis can be a challenging experience, not only for those affected by it, but also for their family and close ones. In recent years, psoriasis has become a topic of discussion as famous celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne, Cyndi Lauper and Jon Lovitz have become advocates for this chronic condition. According to the Psoriasis-Association, approximately 1.8 million people in the UK alone are living with psoriasis. This highlights the importance of recognising the challenges such as:    💠  Self-esteem     💠  Burden of treatment   💠  Social stigma These challenges don’t just stop there – the physical and emotional strain of the condition can be interminable. World Psoriasis Day serves as a vital opportunity for people with psoriasis to unite, share their stories, raise awareness and push for better treatment options. This year, the theme is “family”, emphasising the vital role of loved ones in supporting those living with the condition. As we mark World Psoriasis Day 2024, let’s come together to foster understanding, compassion, and stronger support networks for individuals with psoriasis and their families. Raising awareness is key to reducing stigma and highlighting the importance of support systems for those living with this chronic disease. #worldpsoriasisday #psoriasis

❓ Did you know….. ….that Black women experience a longer duration of menopause transition than women of other ethnicities? ⌛ Today is World Menopause Day, and as it’s also Black History Month, it’s a good time to remember that many healthcare issues are viewed through a Caucasian lens.   According to the British Menopause Society, Black women “have the highest prevalence and longest duration of vasomotor symptoms [hot flushes and night sweats], and they are also more severe.” 🌶 The Fawcett Society’s “Menopause in the Workplace” report highlights that there is a lack of research into how menopause affects people from ethnic minorities going through this transition.   ☁ And as if lack of research wasn’t enough, perimenopause and menopause is still clouded by myth and misinformation, despite the efforts of many advocates to rectify this. The Women’s Health Initiative study into HRT in the 1990s has been long discredited: the sample was small, most of the women were 10+ years post menopause, and the risk of breast cancer and blood clots was taken out of context – HRT has since been shown to reduce the risk of certain cancers, and other co-morbidities have been shown to pose a greater risk with regard to breast cancer. Despite this, the findings of this study are still affecting the take-up of HRT, along with inconsistent training available to already busy healthcare professionals. So today, on World Menopause Day, take a few minutes to help us bust some menopause myths – people in your life will thank you for it! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eQPC-jKq #worldmenopauseday #blackhealth #blackhistorymonth
