Mental Health Matters (MHM) is a leading UK charity, dedicated to providing life changing support to individuals facing mental health challenges. Since 1984, MHM has been delivering a wide range of services including NHS Talking Therapies, crisis support, employment assistance, and community-based mental health programmes, helping 15,000 people a month across England overcome adversity and regain independence. As the charity embarks upon the next exciting phase of growth, we are seeking a new Chair to lead the Board and support the organisation’s future development. As Chair, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Mental Health Matters, working closely with the CEO, Jane Hughes, FCMI, and Board to ensure the highest standards of governance and strategic direction. Previous experience of chairing a board is not essential. However, you will be committed to improving mental health services and bring some experience within the charitable sector either in an executive or non-executive capacity. We are now seeking someone with the governance experience and strategic insight to ensure MHM can continue to deliver outstanding outcomes. Have met so many lovely people who have been sharing the specific challenges people face living in rural communities and the impact this can have on their mental health!
