The MFX Team had a blast at ELRIG London 2024! In case you've missed it here are some key take aways 👇 🚀 Cost Efficiency and Consistency through Automation: As highlighted by several talks “we are moving towards automation and we want a safe, scalable and precise technology to support the outstanding developments in science”. Implementing automated processes can substantially reduce sample analysis costs, often cutting them by more than half. Automation not only helps in cost containment but also contributes to achieving greater consistency by reducing human error and variability. 🔬 Analytics in Cell Therapy Lagging Behind Biologics: Analytical tools in the cell therapy sector remain significantly less advanced compared to biologics. Key challenges include limited sample volumes inherent to small-dose therapies, which complicate traditional analytical approaches. Current analytics often rely on offline methods, creating a disconnect between real-time manufacturing needs and delayed quality assessments. 🔧 Integrating Analytics with Manufacturing: “Industry wants to keep everything in a closed box, with reduced footprint and low manual input”. Bridging the gap between real-time analytics and manufacturing processes could significantly enhance the performance and predictability of cell therapy production. Real-time data interpretation enables immediate adjustments, optimising critical process parameters (CPPs) and critical quality attributes (CQAs). Digital twins—virtual models that simulate live production conditions—offer a promising route to proactively manage CPPs and CQAs. Great networking and access to 181 talks and 328 posters with incredible scientific content and insights into the current challenges in the CGT space! In one of our posters we shared our recent data on Tregs in the CytoEngine - work done in collaboration with AstraZeneca, Michael Delahaye and Gabriella Nilsson Hall. Looking forward to continuing these efforts and solving CGT challenges together! #ELRIGLondon2024 #CellTherapy #Bioprocessing #AdvancedTherapies #Innovation

Day 2 at Alliance for Regenerative Medicine's #meetingonthemesa and the MFX-12 is on tour again! Catch up with Antoine if you want to find out how the #CytoEngines scalable cassettes might just be able to unlock the large datasets needed to drive a more bio-adaptive approach to #cellandgenetherapy development and manufacturing. Hint - it involves collecting relevent process data right from the very beginning of your development, not just when you get to scale up!

Catch up with Antoine next week at Meeting on the Mesa! #cellandgenetherapy #mfxontour
Excited to be heading to Alliance for Regenerative Medicine's #CGMesa24 next week. I look forward to connecting with those who share our vision of streamlined development of cell therapies and who dream of access for millions of patients, not thousands! #cellandgenetherapy #MFX

What a full day yesterday at London ELRIG 2024! We’ve had some great CGT discussions so far, and it’s been rewarding to connect with so many experts in the field. Don’t miss the presentation by our Vice President of Operations, James Kusena PhD on how to expedite scale up of CGTs from R&D to manufacturing from 2:00 – 2:30pm today. In case you haven’t had the chance to visit our posters yesterday, join Nicholas Akosa and Maria Kalli, PhD for deep dive discussions into our latest technology with Tregs (269) and T-cells (277) during the refreshment breaks. We’d love to hear your insights and discuss how we can tackle the challenges facing our field together and be more bio adaptive! #ELRIG2024 #Day2 #CellTherapy #Networking #Innovation Antonio De Grazia, Aakash Modak
