We hosted an open day to welcome our new apprentices to Michell Bearings. The open day was an opportunity for the apprentices to meet the team, connect with fellow apprentices and get familiar with their new working environment. As part of the British Engines apprenticeship scheme, they will start their training at college this month and will join the business February next year, taking on roles in Design, Draughtsperson, Fitting, Commercial Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality. Michell Bearings has developed a prototype bearing and test rig as part of a project to supply bearings for a series of major nuclear power projects in India. Over the past decade, we have invested heavily to showcase our capability in the nuclear industry, particularly targeting the Indian market. The test rig was designed to replicate various operating conditions such as speed, bearing loads and water temperature.
