We're delighted to announce that Matt Hornby has been appointed Head of Sustainability. 🌍 This new role has been created as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, ensuring that we continue to lead the way and make significant progress in our efforts to reduce our environmental impact. Matt's expertise will help us strengthen and implement our sustainability strategy moving forward and we're excited to see what can be achieved with him as part of the team. Matt already has 6 months working with Milbank Group under his belt as he joined as part of the On Purpose International leadership programme earlier this year. In his new role, he will take the lead in continuing and coordinating our involvement with the On Purpose programme, working closely with our new On Purpose Associates as they join the business every six months. Milbank Group has completed on a new acquisition of Scottish-based, Superfine Manufacturing Ltd - a long-established manufacturer of liquid products. With a history stretching back over five decades, Superfine is the second acquisition for Milbank Group this year, bringing the portfolio of businesses to 11. The family-run company offers expertise in the formulation, production, design, packaging, and distribution of a wide range of liquid products, providing a full-service solution for its customers. In addition to its extensive product portfolio, the company specialises in tailoring solutions to meet its customers' specific needs, often involving the creation of entirely new, custom-designed products and labelling. Julie Milne will assume the role of Managing Director of Superfine immediately. Speaking on the acquisition, she said, “I am honored to take on the role of Managing Director following the recent acquisition, and I am excited to lead Superfine into its next chapter of growth and success. With a strong foundation already in place, my focus will be on building upon the great work that has been done, fostering innovation and sustainability, and ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional products for our customers. Over the weekend some of our team donned their trainers and faced the challenge of the Nuclear Blast Race in Brentwood. 👟 Members of the team from Milbank Concrete Products and Sui Generis tackled the mixed, muddy terrain obstacle race - and luckily the sun came out for us! To commemorate Armed Forces Week in July, Milbank Concrete Products Limited, Cadman Cranes, and Sui Generis International Ltd collectively pledged a donation of £1,050 to SSAFA the Armed Forces charity.   We were delighted to welcome John Arthur, Divisional Secretary, and James Dodson, Divisional Treasurer, of the Braintree arm of SSAFA to Milbank Concrete Products this week to accept our Group donation. Working specifically with SSAFA Essex means that our money goes directly towards supporting those within our community, providing a range of support services from physical to emotional care.   As signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant, Milbank Concrete Products, Cadman Cranes, and Sui Generis are committed to supporting the Armed Forces Community, and recognise the value Serving Personnel, both regular and Reservists, Veterans, and military families contribute to our businesses, community, and country.   The support SSAFA provide covers both regulars and reserves in the Royal Navy, the Royal Marines, the British Army and the Royal Air Force and their families, including anyone who has completed National Service.   For more information on where our money goes, click here: https://lnkd.in/dTAp7gH

Milbank Group has completed on a new acquisition of Britain's longest established, independent, and family- owned wigmaker, BROWNS MORE HAIR NOW LIMITED. Based in Devon, Browns is Britain's longest established, independent, and family-owned wigmaker, with over 100 years of knowledge and understanding in making and fitting of wigs. Browns ethos is centred around integrity and respect, being conscious of the sensitivity required when facilitating the ‘replacement’ of hair. They provide their wig service to private and NHS clients throughout the United Kingdom. Claire-Marie Farrar and Melissa Muvuti, joint Managing Directors of Milbank Group company Nicola Jane , will assume the management of Browns immediately while continuing their responsibilities at Nicola Jane. Speaking on the acquisition of Browns, they said, “We have collaborated with Browns for many years and are excited to work with their talented team. Together, we aim to implement positive changes that will advance service levels, systems, and product ranges, all while maintaining our commitment to first-class service and sustainable alternatives. We look forward to applying 20 years of our knowledge from Nicola Jane to the business.
