Protecting people and the environment through continuous, wide-area monitoring of hazardous and greenhouse gas emissions
About us
Mirico protects people and the environment through continuous, wide area monitoring of hazardous and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across entire sites with just a single instrument. Gasses detected include methane, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulphide, nitrous oxide and ammonia. All data is collected and analysed in real-time, enabling operators to swiftly detect, locate, visualise and quantify emissions at their sites. The proprietary technology ensures reliable measurements even during inclement weather. Automatic alerts are raised upon detection of anomalous events, saving operators time and cost by informing maintenance activities whilst minimising emissions. Mirico enables companies to understand and baseline their fugitive emissions and facilitate proactive emission reduction campaigns to help reach their net zero goals. Setting new standards in gas detection, Mirico is delivering impact to clients across oil and gas, agriculture, waste, energy and environmental science sectors worldwide. To find out more about how Mirico could help you monitor emissions and reach your net zero goals, get in contact at: info@mirico.co.uk

Cool article on our technology.
Laser Dispersion Spectroscopy: A Game Changer for Gas Sensing What is Laser Dispersion Spectroscopy (LDS)? LDS is a novel approach to laser spectroscopy that addresses limitations of traditional Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (LAS). LAS relies on measuring the intensity of transmitted light to determine gas concentration. This method is susceptible to errors caused by environmental factors like fog or dust. The Power of Phase Measurement Here's where LDS shines. Unlike LAS, LDS measures the differential phase change induced by gas molecules. This approach offers significant advantages: > Superior Immunity: LDS is less affected by fluctuations in light intensity, making it ideal for harsh environments. > Enhanced Sensitivity: By focusing on phase changes, LDS achieves highly accurate measurements of trace gases. > Wider Dynamic Range: LDS overcomes limitations in concentration measurement range experienced by LAS. Overall, LDS represents a significant leap forward in gas sensing technology, enabling precise and reliable measurements in challenging conditions. https://lnkd.in/eX5rXz2m https://lnkd.in/dRdYh6G2 Let's discuss how LDS can revolutionize your field! #LaserDispersionSpectroscopy #GasSensing #ScientificBreakthrough #LDS #Photonics #Laser #Photonicspots #PhotonicsTimes Mirico SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics

Can AI get the world to net zero faster? Listen to our CEO Bob Flint share his thoughts on The Energy Podcast.
🚨NEW EPISODE ALERT! 🚨Can AI get the world to net zero faster? 🌍 I’ve put the second half of my job title into action by hosting the new episode of The Energy Podcast by Shell, produced by Fresh Air. 🎙️ Kate Kallot, founder and CEO of Amini; Bob Flint, CEO of Mirico; and Amy Challen, Shell’s Global Head of AI, joined me to discuss whether AI can tackle the urgent challenge of cutting greenhouse gas emissions. It was such an insightful💡conversation and I'll miss being as heavily immersed in content on the potential of AI in the energy transition as I have been since working on this episode. You can download ⬇ and listen wherever you get your podcasts or listen below. Let me know your thoughts once you do! 🙂

Huge methane leak
Investing in climate breakthrough technologies to solve climate change 💥 | Host of Climate Insiders podcast 🎙
Unbelievable 🤯 This energy could have powered 161,000 homes for a YEAR. Instead, 127,000 tons of methane was pumped into our atmosphere in just 6 MONTHS… Yep, this is the result of 1 leaky well in Kazakhstan, discovered last month. That’s also equivalent to a YEAR’s worth of emissions for nearly 750,000 cars 🚗 It’s officially one of the worst methane leaks in history. Methane is extremely harmful to our planet for 3 reasons: 👉 It’s one of the main contributors to global warming 👉 It’s about 28 times more potent than CO2 👉 It’s invisible to the naked eye Every day, I read stories like this and think: “There MUST be a climate tech company working on this somewhere.” The good news is that usually, there is 🙏 Head to the comment section where I shout out 5 companies battling the problem head-on 🥊 Let me know if I’ve missed any!
