Yesterday our CEO, Jason Arthur, alongside Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson and Education Policy Institute, highlighted the need to build a more inclusive education system that works for all young people. We look forward to working closely with the government to ensure all students feel a sense of belonging in school and are supported to reach their full potential. #LabourConference24

Mission 44 reposted this
Mission 44 is part of a coalition of charities calling for change to reduce #LostLearning. Record levels of school exclusions and suspensions are a growing concern. Not only do they limit a child’s future opportunities, they too often address the symptoms of much deeper issues, not the root causes of poor behaviour. The most vulnerable young children continue to be the most impacted, making this a serious social justice issue that policymakers, educators and the community need to work together to take urgent action to address. https://lnkd.in/e245xwE2

We're excited to be working with Formula 1 to build a more diverse and inclusive motorsport industry. Check out some of their highlights from this season, including our youth event in collaboration with F1 Miami Grand Prix and F1 Academy ⬇
As the F1 Summer Break continues, we’re looking back at some of the key ESG highlights from the Grands Prix so far this year, featuring sustainability and social impact initiatives. F1 is on track to reach Net Zero by 2030 and there is a united effort from across the sport to create positive change. Following on from last week’s post where we looked at the first five races of the season, here’s what happened at the next five Grands Prix… 🍔 Ten local minority owned food and beverage vendors were given ‘Golden Tickets’ that gave them the opportunity to trade at the F1 Miami Grand Prix. 🎓 F1 Academy hosted an immersive event in collaboration with Mission 44 and F1 MIA for students to learn more about leadership and the business of motorsport. 🚚 As F1 returned to Europe, the Grands Prix were delivered by biofuel-powered trucks, which last year saved an average of 83% in relevant carbon emissions. 🍝 Il Tortellante, an inclusive community programme that teaches people with Autism how to make fresh pasta by hand, served Paddock guests in Imola (Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari - Formula Imola S.p.A.). 🤝 Awabots continued to connect young fans from local hospitals and organisations to their F1 heroes via a live video stream, beaming them into the Paddock. 💧 In Monaco (Automobile Club de Monaco), a bespoke water desalination system turned seawater into fresh water to wash more than 50,000 reusable cups for fans across the weekend. 🚇 97% of attendees used lower carbon methods to make their way to the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA, with F1 fans encouraged to user greener transport at all events where possible. ⚡ The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya transitioned to renewable energy sources, including the installation of 1,239 new solar panels. 📝 The British Embassy in Spain met with six STEM and Journalism students who were taking part in the F1 Academy Career Discovery Programme and toured the Paddock with Spanish driver Nerea Martí and British driver Jess Edgar. We’ll round off the key ESG highlights from the first half of the 2024 season ahead of the return to racing action next weekend at the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix, which will also see the fourth F1 ACADEMY race of the season. #F1 #motorsport #ESG #sustainability #diversity #inclusion #community #impact #sportsbiz
