“I am very thankful for the care my baby is getting from this hospital’s baby unit, the medical team are doing an amazing job for us, they are very professional.” Said Baby Matilda’s mother 💚 Baby Matilda was born with transient tachypnea of the newborn and dehydration and later developed neonatal jaundice. As a first time mum it was scary to be told that her baby was to be admitted at the baby’s Unit. She told me she had a lot of questions going on back in her mind. When she was at the unit she was glad that all her questions were answered to her satisfaction. The mother said that she was relieved when she entered the unit and found it well equipped, she knew that her baby was in the right place where she will get quality and assured service that she wished for Baby Matilda. Dextrose was administered and later put on phototherapy machine and so far the baby is stable feeding expressed breast milk through NGT, her current weight is 2805gms from a birth weight of 2505 gms which is a good sign. The mother is hopeful that after the phototherapy Baby Matilda will be ready to go home.
