  • AI & Climate: The Hidden Impact AI is seen as useful tool in daily tasks, but what about its environmental footprint? We asked Calum from the Scottish AI Alliance to write us a blog. It takes a closer look at the energy demands and emissions linked to AI—and what we can do about it. It’s an eye-opening read! https://lnkd.in/d2MEYSsh If you’re interested in exploring these issues further, why not join the People’s Panel on AI & Climate in Edinburgh on Wednesday, 26 March 2025? It’s a chance to discuss the balance between AI and climate action, with an option to have travel and accommodation covered for participants from across Scotland. Apply by 08:00 on Monday, 10 March 2025. Find out more: Scottish AI website or email engage@ScottishAI.com to host your own community conversation.

Here is a fantastic case study from our Moray Connecting Communities project. It highlights the strength of partnership working between Paula, our Development Officer, and the local community, and how bikes lead to such positive outcomes! 🚴♀️How one ride changed Robbie’s mind about e-bikes forever 🚴♀️ When Cycling UK’s Connecting Communities programme brought e-bikes to Moray, Robbie Hope, director of Elgin Sports Community Trust, wasn’t convinced. “I was totally against it,” he admitted. But that changed when he gave an e-bike a try. The loan not only opened up new possibilities for Robbie’s commute but also expanded the reach of Active Recovery Moray, a project supporting those affected by addiction and mental health challenges. E-bikes have helped Robbie and others in the community access new places, increase their activity levels, and reduce reliance on cars. Today, Robbie isn’t just an e-bike convert — he’s an advocate for what cycling can offer to individuals and communities alike. Discover Robbie’s journey and the difference e-bikes are making in Moray. 🚴🏻♂️ Full story and other successes here: https://lnkd.in/eZwiAqKP HITRANS Moray Council Moray CAN Vikki Trelfer Robbie Hope Elgin Sports Community Trust Suzanne Forup Sean Brady Cycling UK #ActiveTravel #LifeIsBetterOnBikes
