My Landlord Care is a small organisation with a big heart. We operate as a social enterprise solely for privately rented properties. The only organisation of this structure in both Sheffield and Rotherham. It was started by me Badrul and my partner, Mahara. We have had years of experience in the property field, this was by investment and management. We are like everyone else, normal hard working people (we hardly put on suits!)
What led us to this path was the constant negative connotations with the word 'Landlord' as if we are greedy and selfish bunch. We knew the work we undertake with each and every tenant we support went totally against this negative view. When we started our search for letting agents we could not find any with a similar social purpose. So we decided to set up our own organisation.
We have worked with Local Authorities and social housing organisations. We know the benefit supported housing brings to each and every client. We wanted to bring this support to the Private rented sector, We see this within our own properties. By looking after your tenants the chances of problems is reduced massively and higher possibility of longer term tenancy, We are a letting agents with a difference.
We are online based, this means we do not have costly overheads. We pass this saving on to our landlords. Also we are not automated machines we are people who will still meet and work with you.
We have worked with tenants from all backgrounds and significantly from Black Minority Ethnic backgrounds. We are able to tailor our provisions to accommodate for these clients as well. We offer tenancy support which is as individual as the client.
We have good links with the support sector including voluntary sector, Job Centre, DWP and we work closely with them to get the right support for tenants. So whether your new tenant is looking for help filling out benefit paperwork or looking for a local parenting class we are here to support them.
