My Clinical Outcomes Ltd

A decade ago, in 2014, I had the chance to attend Prof. Michael Porter's Intensive Seminar on Value-Based Healthcare at Harvard Business School which opened my eyes wide to the enormous potential for #outcomes measurement having started My Clinical Outcomes Ltd (MCO) a few years earlier. MCO was proudly recognised for our capability to robustly and reliably implement #PROMs measurement into routine clinical practice by the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) at a very early conference later that same year. So, it's with some excitement that we return again - albeit with a better logo, a capital 'M', and just a few more grey hairs - to represent MCO at this year’s ICHOM conference in Amsterdam this week. It promises to be bigger and better than ever... Great day at the annual LaingBuisson #PrivateAcute Conference yesterday. Lots of talk about outcomes as usual, both on the stage, and amongst delegates. Dr Ian Gargan from Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN): - “the panacea for outcomes measurement for all of UK healthcare” as he described NHS England Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) "Outcome Registries Platform (ORP)" that aims to bring 300+ registries together for the first time from next year (and link #NHS and private healthcare data) Joanne Buckle from Milliman: - "Insurers routinely measure access, renewals, complaints…but it’s patchy, not at scale, & mostly focussed on process & experience, not patient outcomes” And Ted Townsend from the conference stage of course: - "Where is Tim Williams, is he here? All this talk of outcomes must be music to his ears..." Very much so, Ted, very much. So much more to do, but we're getting there! #PROMs #VBHC 🎶🎶🎶😅

Our Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) programme gathers data that enables us to understand a patient's well-being, functional ability, and aspects such as pain both before and after treatment. We are proud to have partnered with My Clinical Outcomes Ltd (MCO) so that we can offer our patients the opportunity to submit their PROMs feedback in a digital, easy to use format. Patient responses go straight back to their care team, so that the people who know and have cared for that patient understand how they are doing beyond their procedure.
