After suffering a heart attack in 2022, Lew Ralph, a dedicated cyclist from Petts Wood, found himself facing a tough recovery. Thanks to Mytime Active's Phase 3 REES (Relaxation, Education and Exercise) sessions, Lew regained his confidence and completed the Ride London 100-mile bike ride just weeks later. Lew credits the programme with helping him recover physically and mentally, and believes it should be mandatory for heart attack survivors due to its life-changing benefits. #HeartSmart #Bromley Read his inspiring full story here! https://lnkd.in/dVc8NGmy

Mytime Active’s Amy Brittain was thrilled to be invited to the Golf on Prescription Summit at The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews to showcase the success of our #GolfOnReferral programme and share key insights with fellow delegates. The R&A's recent events have explored six key health themes, with this session focusing on the health benefits of golf and its use as a referral tool. Amy shared Mytime Active’s progress in integrating golf with health providers, offering valuable lessons, challenges and best practices. Key learnings: Between January and September 2024 Mytime Active ran six programmes across two sites, engaging 37 participants, of whom 16% were from minority ethnic groups and 38% were female. Additionally, 40% of participants were referred externally. The outcomes were impressive, with 46% of participants booking a follow-on programme (Get Active in Golf) and an incredible 92% reporting improvements in their health or wellbeing. Golf on Referral provides more than just golf skills — it’s a supportive space for healthy lifestyles. As one of our participants, Andrea (59) shared: “I felt really comfortable in the little community we built. I had anxiety around exercising, but the supportive staff gave me the confidence to take my first steps into being active.” This programme highlights how physical activity like golf can positively influence both mental and physical health. We're excited to continue exploring the potential of golf as a referral route for even greater community impact. #GolfOnPrescription

Mytime Active hosted a fantastic evening at the Pavilion in #Bromley to celebrate #TeamBromley’s win of the Jubilee Cup at the 2024 London Youth Games. The special evening also marked official launch of the #LYG 2025 Games! We welcomed 150 special guests, including some of our incredible young athletes and para-athletes, and double #Olympic champion, Sam Reardon. Also in attendance was the #Mayor of Bromley and his wife, our local MP Peter Fortune, Mytime Active’s trustees, along with team leaders, coaches and teachers, all of whom made Team Bromley’s success possible. The evening got off to a start with a presentation by Mytime Active’s Debra Weekes and Louise Hills, highlighting the achievements of the games, and Jason Stanton and Kelly-Anne Stead also sharing a few celebratory words. A special moment from the night was an inspiring interview with local legend, Sam Reardon, who captivated our young athletes as he shared his own London Youth Games journey, his recent success at the #Paris24 Games and his exciting plans for the next 12 months. After the presentation, the LYG teams enjoyed complimentary bowling or swimming, food and drinks, plus activities including a rowing challenge, table tennis and a fun photo booth. To top it all off, every team member went home with a free voucher for activities at Mytime Active, along with a special LYG baseball cap and T-shirt. A huge thank you to everyone who made this event and the London Youth Games such a success – we’re already looking forward to 2025! The London Youth Games run for nine months of the year and are open to young people who live or go to school in a London borough. Mytime Active is proud to manage and organise the young athletes that represent Bromley in the LYG.
