It was always important to us that we offer different options and formats for the Neurodiversity Awareness training so that everyone feels comfortable signing up and learning more about this important topic. Whether you prefer learning at your own pace with eLearning modules, joining a quick lunch-and-learn online session, or enjoy more interactive, classroom-based learning, we hope there’s something for everyone. We all have different learning styles, and for me, writing things down really helps reinforce what I’m learning, plus it gives me something to refer back to later. That’s why I’m pleased to share that we’ve included workbooks in our latest training sessions. If you sign up for the online sessions, you’ll receive an electronic copy in advance and for in-person training, you’ll get hard copies on the day. These workbooks are designed to help you get the most out of the training - we hope you find them helpful! The first sessions start next week and you can sign up for this free training here: https://lnkd.in/eJCBUmf9 #NeurodiversityinConstruction #NeurodiverseConstruction #InclusionMatters #NeurodiversityAwareness #ConstructionTraining #IndustryImpactFund #Neuroinclusion Interclass National Federation of Builders CITB Genius Within CIC

HMRC Tax Tribunal A huge congratulations to our in-house tax advisors, Richard and Julia Clutterbuck, for successfully helping a client secure a victory against HMRC in a tribunal case. 👏 The case involved the thorny question of whether a contractor in CIS had taken reasonable care to operate the scheme having been found to have made an error. With over 40 years of experience working within HMRC between them, the Clutterbuck’s bring unmatched insight into how the Revenue pursues cases. Their expertise was instrumental in guiding our client through a complex process and achieving this fantastic outcome saving over £400K in CIS tax. At The Guild, we pride ourselves on offering access to some of the most experienced lawyers and tax advisors, especially in the realm of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme). Best of all, these services are completely free of charge to our clients. If you’re facing tax challenges or need expert advice, we’re here to help. 💼✨

S1/Ep 38: The Building Safety Act is the most significant piece of construction legislation for a generation. Its reach is far and broad across our sector, driven as it was by the terrible disaster of Grenfell. This disaster highlighted multiple structural failures across our sector that from a different perspective should never have been allowed to happen. Implementing the Building Safety Act requires a change of our culture, making individuals accountable and forcing transparency. S.J. Kaminski, COO of Jewel Passive Fire Protection is on the front line of these changes and is ideally placed to talk about the rate of change that he is seeing and the challenges of bringing a fragmented and cash strapped industry into this new environment. Scott is optimistic about the opportunities, but pragmatic about the way that these changes are going to be achieved. His recognition that the sector needs to learn to collaborate widely if it is to meet its obligations is one that is easy to hear, but difficult to implement. 🎧 Listen to the podcast by clicking in the comments below: #construction / #professionaldevelopment / #buidingsafetyact
