Paul Harrison, co-founder of Nature Investment Group, is at #cop16 engaging with investors, donors and the business community to see how we can support the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework. Representing Nature Investment and UK Business & Biodiversity Forum Paul was invited into the high level segment as a business observer. There, UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, spoke today at Cop 16 in the high level segment. “biodiversity is humanity’s ally. We must make peace with nature. This is the defining task of the century. We must combine our forces….we recognise the importance of indigenous peoples, afro descendants, farmers….we must shift to nature positive businesses…they must become the default….We must bring the private sector on board, they must step up and take responsibility too….we must engage all elements of society, including indigenous peoples, local communities, environmental defenders, they must be protected and they must be part of every conversation, at every stage of the process…peace with nature means peace with the people who protect nature” #naturepositive #cop16Colombia

Absolute joy and a privilege to be back in the #Ruaha landscape, a critical part of Tanzania’s undervalued #southerncircuit.
