Any road tunnel 500m or longer requires an automatic incident detection (AID) system according to EU regulations. Navtech's 360° radar AID solution provides tunnel operators with an alternative to video AID. It works in all tunnel lighting conditions, including at portals where accidents are more likely to happen. Using radar for accurate incident detection, the system can automatically control cameras for visual verification, supporting the safe operation of road tunnels. Our partner in France, Véronique Taelman, shares an insightful reflection on performance, from product quality to client engagement. The recent project with CEPN, ATEM, and Navtech highlights how collaboration and expertise across all teams drive success. A perfect illustration of performance at every level! #SafetyIsEverything #IntegratedSecuritySolutions More than #PIDS
What challenges are holding the industry back from adopting new technologies and accelerating their #decarbonisation goals? Rachael O'Connor was interviewed recently at the SMM Hamburg event on some key questions facing the maritime industry as it strives for operational efficiency and safety. We believe that ‘seeing is believing’. We like to be able to ‘jump on board the vessels and demonstrate what our technology can do..’ Want to see the radar data for yourselves, and learn about the different partners and system integrators we work with, to provide the best solution? Get in contact today!
At SMM, we had the chance to talk to industry experts about the future of maritime. From fuel innovations and waste management to how AI can reduce food waste onboard, our conversations uncovered exciting opportunities and challenges ahead. This time, we set out to explore key questions shaping the industry’s future: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫? During a recent presentation of Navtech Security Solutions we were asked: 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙙𝙤 𝙉𝙖𝙫𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝 𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙧 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙚𝙭𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙨𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙨? Our radar operates within the 76-77 GHz frequency band, ensuring optimal performance in line with industry standards. Extensive interference testing has been carried out across multiple airports, and none of the 50+ airports worldwide using our radar systems have reported any interference issues. Boost Coastal Situational Awareness with Advanced Radar Technology Elevate your coastal monitoring capabilities with cutting-edge W-band radar technology, designed to seamlessly integrate with your existing systems. Imagine providing your clients with a sensor capable of detecting small objects across a massive 28,274,333m² area, operating reliably in all weather conditions, and offering updates at 60 rpm — all from a single radar. With high-resolution target separation, 360° scanning, and centimetre-level accuracy, this radar brings unmatched functionality, ensuring precise tracking of moving targets and small objects. Its compact design enables easy installation with minimal wiring and calibration, while the open SDK grants developers direct access to raw radar data for full integration control. Recently, our HDR331 radar demonstrated its capabilities in a coastal installation, monitoring ships with a 3Km range and 1Hz update rate. It successfully detected vessels of all sizes, navigation buoys, and even provided insights into wave height and sea state changes, visualised through Cambridge Pixel's SPx RadarView Lite. Whether you're focusing on maritime safety, or enhancing port intelligence, our radar delivers reliable performance day or night, offering a powerful solution to elevate your operations.
