Earlier this week, we held our Coffee & Connections event, as part of our Chamber Inspiring Women in Business programme! ☕ A huge thank you to everyone who joined us - whether you were there to make new connections, share experiences, or simply be part of a supportive and empowering space, it was fantastic to see so many businesses coming together to inspire and uplift one another! Special thanks to our event sponsor, Week2Week Serviced Apartments Limited, whose work providing serviced accommodation helps businesses and professionals stay connected across the region! We were also thrilled to be hosted by Seven Stories, The National Centre for Children's Books, a venue with a fascinating history! Once a Victorian warehouse, is now a national centre dedicated to celebrating the power of storytelling and children’s literature. Missed this one? Our next Inspiring Women in Business event is just around the corner! But be quick, there's only a handful of tickets left! 📅 6 March 📍 Grand Hotel Gosforth Park 🔗 https://okt.to/S9Tjun See you all there! #NECCevents

Great to see so many of you at our Chamber Connect & AGM this morning at the Riverside Stadium! A huge thank you to our event sponsor, Intuit, for their continued support, and to Carl Burton for sharing how their work is making a real impact on SMEs across the region. And a big shout out to our speakers for showcasing the incredible work happening in our vibrant North East business community. And, of course, thank you to everyone who joined us today! #NECCevents
Today was our North East Chamber of Commerce Chamber of Commerce Connect and Tees Valley AGM at the Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough. It was great to hear from Paul Shepherd at MFC Foundation on the tremendous work they do in our communities. Then Rachel Anderson gave a brilliant update on the last 12 months and all the work we've delivered for our members in Tees Valley, from LSIPs to elections, 2024 was a busy year. Finally, our sponsors Carl Burton from Intuit on their local activity such as their Prosperity Hub and training and guidance for businesses and students in our region. Thank you to all our members who turned out and the few of us who enjoyed a tour of the stadium. Great to see you all Darren Hankey, David Wilson, Hollie Gardner, Julie Dawson, Angela Turley MCIM, Craig Feeney, Safia Kayum, Vanessa Jordens, Diane Williamson.

I’m happy to announce that I’ll be speaking at next week’s Hartlepool Literacy Summit, where I will be sharing the research our LSIP team has done on communication skills and literacy 🗣️✍️ I will be highlighting what employers have asked for in the Tees Valley, and beyond, and what has been put in place as a result of our work. I will also draw on what else we’d like to see to support communication and literacy in our region 👀
