Community members from #NeasdenTemple took part in this year’s The Big Half in London last month. With a diverse age range of participants and a mix of new and seasoned runners, they all completed the half marathon while enjoying the supportive atmosphere of the spectators and raising funds for BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha’s charitable activities and other worthy causes. Following the heavy seasonal rains throughout Gujarat and the subsequent floods, thousands have been stranded in districts surrounding Vadodara and Jamnagar. With the guidance of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha swamis and volunteers are working with local authorities to provide vital assistance, food, and support to all those affected. On this day in 1995, His Holiness #PramukhSwami Maharaj inaugurated Neasden Temple. It was the first of its kind. Today, 29 years later, the Mandir continues to be a sanctuary of faith, culture, and community.

Over 600 people of all ages participated in today’s Annual Charity Challenge, helping raise funds for The Felix Project in their fight against hunger and food waste in London as well as for Neasden Temple’s diverse spiritual and community activities for the wider public.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our friends at British Airways for their valuable participation in the Neasden Temple Summer Fair. Their careers advice stand, complete with a flight simulator and extensive information, was a highlight of the event. We deeply appreciate their commitment to recruiting talent from our pool of young, bright volunteers, and are pleased with the significant interest shown in the diverse roles they presented.
