Wednesday afternoon, Amir Rasekh, Managing Director, gave a presentation at the IAB Retail Media Upfronts on the importance of customer voice and creativity in retail media. Amir: “The customer’s voice is key to everything we do at Nectar360. We create valuable relationships between customers and their favourite brands. The starting point for this is our ability to understand customer behaviour.” The customer journey is no longer linear; it’s squiggly, so you need a retail media capability that covers the whole marketing funnel so you can engage customers at the moment that’s right for them - injecting fun to inspire and engage customers whilst creating iconic moments such as the recent omnichannel purple Coke can campaign. Following on from this, Tom Priestman, Director of Client Services, took to the stage to host a panel debate with Natasha Bowes, Founder of gut health food company Biotiful, and Sarah Millbanks, Senior Marketing Manager at consumer healthcare company Kenvue. Natasha used customer insight to identify a barrier preventing new customers from coming on board. The resulting ‘Try me love me’ money-back guarantee mechanic, which focused on the great taste of the food, brought an additional 30% new customers to the brand. Having seen people creating engaging skincare content on TikTok, Sarah replicated the experience IRL at Kenvue by bringing dermatologists in-store to offer customers advice. In closing, Tom remarked: “We are writing the retail media book as we go and seeing incredible results. It’s hard to see a world where retail media does not touch all media touchpoints.” This is a world we’re excited to see very shortly! Being a part of the ‘Social Team’ at Nectar 360! 🎉 By Hannah Jarvis and Eve Cook Since both joining Nectar360 at the start of this year, being a part of the Social Team has also allowed us to network with a range of colleagues outside of our normal day to day role. Through which, we've been a part of organising a range of engaging events, from team quizzes and networking lunches to board game nights and coffee breaks.
