Calling all NEDs 📣 On Tuesday 19th November, NEDNet will be hosting their inaugural event ‘What makes a great NED?’ with Hill Dickinson LLP, and as a Founding Supporter, we are thrilled to be involved. It will feature keynote speaker Steve Norris and co-speaker Tanya Gass, as well as a panel discussion, opportunities for networking and refreshments. Secure your place by following the link at the end of the post. What is NEDNet? NEDNet is a membership forum focused on Small and Mid Cap companies, that aims to enable you to be the best NED you can be and are open to all current and potential NEDs. It is important to us, as we work with NEDs frequently, and see first-hand how difficult it is to get into the NED space. We want to enable NEDs to up their game, and provide supportive spaces, opportunities, and resources to connect with the right boards. We are starting to plan for our MSP Organisation x NEDNet event, so keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming announcement.

From nothing but a name to a full suite of founding supporters in four months. NEDNet is a forum for all non-executive directors (NEDs), those wishing to become NEDs, the companies which use them, and the advisors that support them. We aim to facilitate the sharing of views, developments, and best practice within the NED space through a combination of on-line activities and face-to-face events. By bringing the wider NED community together, networking is enhanced, effectiveness can be improved, and roles identified and filled. Our objectives are; To create a community of NEDs and the businesses that employ them. To be the go-to forum for debate, knowledge and opinions on all professional aspects associated with being a NED. To enable NEDS to be the best NEDs they can be. To encourage Executive Boards to fully utilise their NEDs. Over the past few months, the team has been working really hard to get NEDNet off the ground. Our first employee came on board in March 2024 and since then we have developed a website, welcomed five founding supporters with expertise spanning the entirety of the advisory space, and received our first members. With this, we are thrilled to announce our five founding supporters; MSP Organisation, Hill Dickinson, haysmacintyre, Gracechurch Group, and Zeus Capital.
