🎉 We’re 3 Years Old Today! 🎉 Today marks three years of incredible climate action, community empowerment, and meaningful progress! From celebrating the 10th anniversary of Climate Week North East to engaging communities through roadshows and knowledge cafes, we’ve worked hard to connect and support North East Scotland in our mission for sustainability. Through projects like the Just Transition Community Project, the Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund, and other opportunities like LEAF, SEED, and more, every initiative has moved us closer to a greener, more just future. This past year has also brought inspiring team days, valuable radio and press moments, impactful MSP visits, and, with the help of fantastic collaborators, the organisation of Aberdeen’s first-ever environmental festival, Envirolution Aberdeen.  “𝐼 𝑓𝑒𝑒𝑙 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑧𝑒𝑑. Together, we’ve created a positive impact that reaches far and wide, empowering communities across North East Scotland. Here’s to many more successes, new milestones, and an even brighter future! Thank you all for being part of this journey. 🌍💚 #WeAreThree #CommunityEmpowered #ClimateAction

We’ve joined over 70 other organisations and written to the First Minister, urging him to use the passing of legislation to change Scotland’s climate framework as a turning point for action. The next few months bring specific, concrete opportunities to make long overdue climate progress and lead to a greener, fairer, healthier Scotland. Read more about these in our letter here: https://lnkd.in/ejWtfASP

We are at a pivotal point in Scotland's climate journey. Legislation to revise Scotland's legal climate framework has now passed, and the Scottish elections are on the horizon. There can be no more delay in delivering robust and fair climate action across all parts of our society, bringing much-needed benefits to our health, economy, and planet. We’ve joined over 70 organisations and called on the First Minister to act and commit increased fair funding to: 🚏 Enable people to walk, wheel and cycle safely, and get about quickly and easily on an affordable and reliable public transport network; 🏠Power our homes through cleaner forms of heating and ensure they are properly insulated, protecting households from the risk of fuel poverty and improving health. 👩🌾 Support farmers, crofters and fisheries to manage our land and seas in ways that protect and restore nature and reduce emissions, cutting food waste and promoting healthy and sustainable diets; and ♻️ Help people develop the skills needed for a new low carbon, circular economy, and deploy fast, fair and managed plans to fully transition away from reliance on polluting fossil fuels Read our letter here: https://bit.ly/4fsPgEq
