I am pleased to announce that Nick Bromley Accountancy has sponsored a collection of books in the Ludlow Book Hunt, to support this great community event 😊 My children love the Ludlow Book Hunt; the opportunity to search the town for new books, enjoy them, and then hide them for the next child to find. This is not the only community based project Vikki (Burgoyne's Books - in partnership with Usborne) undertakes - keep an eye on her social pages to see how she helps local schools and nurseries too 👏 #Community #CommunitySpirit #LocalBusiness #Ludlow #Shropshire #Accountant #Sponsorship #GivingBack

Telephone provider switch complete ✅️ Office line is now up and running again, and fingers crossed we're with a more reliable, customer service driven provider than we previously were. Office number remains the same - 01584 874684 16.04.2024

You may be aware that we have experienced some reliability issues with our telephone system. As the service that we provide to you matters to us, and communication is a large part of this, we are moving telephone provider. Our telephone line is due to switch provider tomorrow, 16th April. If you struggle to call tomorrow, please feel free to contact us on 01584 874684 via WhatsApp. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause tomorrow, but believe the change is necessary to continue to provide a high service level. 15.04.2024 Nick Bromley FCCA - Accountant

Today will be a day of both networking and client work. Started the day with a bacon bap at the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce networking event at Bridgnorth, and chatted with some really lovely business owners (Greg Sheppard, Kim Gilmour - Marketing and Social Media, Louise Madeley, Colleen Mullarkey Dip NNT) Then onto The Printworks Bridgnorth to check out their co-working space (which is great) and to meet Vikki for the first time. She was lovely and gave me some really good pointers on networking and content. Now it's time to do some actual work! I have an accounts meeting with a client to discuss their; 🔹 annual results 🔹 tax position 🔹 business performance 🔹 forecasted capital spend and what tax reliefs this would attract 🔹 and a desirable remuneration policy from their company - in plain English, this is deciding on the best structure of their salary level and dividend level that suits their lifestyle and desired outcome 🚨 Does your accountant discuss your accounts and tax return with you? 🚨 I assumed every accountant does this, but found out this week that this simply is not the case! 🤯 Some accountants just send out the accounts and tax returns for their client's to review and approve, without talking it through with them. I believe that accountancy needs to be a communication based service, where we build strong relationships to give you comfort that your accounts and taxes are in the hands of the right people, who can explain them to you. If you feel that you don't speak to your accountant often enough, they don't take your calls, they don't take an interest in you and your business - then please get in touch to discover a different way! ‐-----‐-------------‐-----‐------------‐-----‐------------ 👋 Hi, I'm Nick. An accountant with a mission to help business owners understand their numbers, and make time for what matters most to them. If this interests you, I'd love to chat. You can arrange that chat with me using the link in the 'features' section on my profile. #LetsDoBusiness #QualifiedAccountant #LocalAccountant #Accountant #Ludlow #Bridgnorth #Shropshire #Remote #SmallBusiness #SmallBusinessSuccess #BusinessGrowth #BusinessSupport #UnderstandYourNumbers #CommunicationIsKey

Q: Should you incorporate your company yourself? A: Well, it depends... There are plenty of online platforms that allow you to 'DIY' but if you don't fully understand the question there are pitfalls. I recently met with a potential new client that had incorporated a company themselves. So, before the meeting, I did a bit of due diligence 🧐 It transpired they'd set the share capital at 100 ordinary shares...you know, the standard default...where a qualified accountant may make better suggestions *hint hint* 😉 🚨 BUT and it's a big BUT, the nominal price per share was £100! So the shareholder now owes the company £10k for their shares in a newly formed company that is worthless 😱 They had intended for the total share value to be £100, i.e. £1 per share, but had misinterpreted the question. This situation clearly needs to be resolved, and the cost of doing so outweighs the cost saving of them doing the incorporation themselves in the first place. It's very important that you have an understanding of what you want to achieve (in this case 100 ordinary £1 shares), and communicate this with your chosen advisor 😉 It may be that the outcome you want isn't achievable, but the advisor can explain this and suggest alternatives that are as close as possible within the law. If you are looking to move accountants or set up your business, then please reach out to see how I can help 👍 #QualifiedAccountant #LocalAccountant #Ludlow #Bridgnorth #Shropshire #Accountant #LetsDoBusiness Nick Bromley Accountancy 20/10/2023
