“Our customers rely on us to handle their sensitive information with the utmost care,” Sam Clokie, Director of Bioinformatics and Software at Nonacus, has been instrumental in establishing ISO27001 standards at the company. Having worked in world leading genomics laboratories himself, (in the NHS no less), he knows just how important data security is to our customers. His efforts, alongside a team of others, resulted in a successful BSI audit and the delivery of a pristine, white ISO27001 certificate last week - which will no doubt be framed and on the wall at HQ - and rightly so. It took blood, sweat and tears but we did it! Our ISO 27001 certificate has finally arrived for our cloud-based GALEAS software and panel design tool. Whilst we were working to ISO standards already, we are delighted that the audit by BSI confirmed that our information security management system (ISMS) meets all the requirements of ISO 27001. (To be honest our CEO thought we already had this covered so he’s REALLY pleased too). Now we can sit back and relax (and so can you) knowing that your data is safe with us. Of course, we’re not really sitting back and relaxing. Gaining ISO27001 certification is just the beginning. We will be working hard behind the scenes to maintain that standard and to continuously improve our ISMS. We are also busy doing all sorts of things in pursuit of our mission - a world where early cancer diagnosis, detection and management is simple and universally available – so watch this space. In the meantime, learn more about our commitment to keeping your data safe. https://bit.ly/40iKzZM #ISO27001 #InformationSecurity #customertrust #Galeasbladder

We were delighted to welcome Rik Bryan to Nonacus HQ yesterday for a truly inspiring talk. He shared the story of how the research under taken by his team at the University of Birmingham led to the development of the GALEAS Bladder test. This test looks to address some of the key issues facing genetic testing labs, doctors and ultimately people with suspected bladder cancer. With studies now taking place across the NHS comparing the results of this non-invasive urine test to that of a cystoscopy, and feedback from consultant urologists overwhelmingly positive, we are excited to be a part of this journey with him. Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) is a serious genetic disorder that increases cholesterol levels and the risk of heart disease. Early detection and treatment can help individuals with FH live longer and reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease. With the Cell3™ Target FH panel, clinicians can now identify key genetic variants faster and more accurately. We are proud to announce that Nonacus has been awarded the tender by the NHS All Wales Medical Genomics Service (AWMGS) to provide familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH) testing using our NGS custom-designed panels.🧬 This partnership marks another step forward in our mission to bring ultra-sensitive products to clinical services. Early identification of FH is critical, as it can reduce the risk of heart disease for the 34 million people affected worldwide—90% of whom are undiagnosed. A huge thank you to AWMGS and the NHS for continuing to trust our technology to support this important work. We look forward to continuing our collaboration to improve patient care and health outcomes.🙌 Read more about this exciting partnership here: https://lnkd.in/eHFayQHd #KnowFH #FamilialHypercholesterolaemia #Nonacus #FHTesting

We're one step closer to non-invasive bladder cancer testing being the standard 🙌 It's wonderful to see #GALEASBladder working to be integrated into routine #NHS care. The potential of enabling non-invasive bladder cancer testing from the comfort of a patient’s home in the UK is only the beginning. The vision is to enable affordable access to this new standard of care globally, to reduces burden on clinicians and reassures patients that healthcare professionals put patient comfort first. #bladdercancer #patientfirst
Five NHS Trusts are currently evaluating our #GALEASBladder Cancer testing service. If found to be as effective as the current standard of care, a cystoscopy, at detecting bladder cancer – as indicated by previous smaller studies – it could be integrated into routine NHS care, saving the #NHS tens of millions every year, reducing waiting times and enabling thousands of patients to be tested from the comfort of their own home using a simple urine test. https://hubs.ly/Q02NyXXz0 #BladderCancer #NonInvasiveTesting

At Nonacus, we are passionate about advancing women’s health through non-invasive cancer testing. Sânziana Foia’s Papcup could be a significant step forward, offering women the option to test for HPV at home. If successful, this could break down barriers to cervical screening and empower more women to take charge of their health. 💗 How much more likely would you be to get tested from the comfort of your home? 🏡 Cancer Research UK (CRUK) #CerivcalCancer #NonInvasiveHealthcare
Sânziana Foia wants to give women the choice to do cervical screening in the comfort of their own homes, so she has created Papcup, a self-testing device that detects human papillomavirus (HPV) in minutes, to do just that. Unlike the tests offered by the NHS today, Papcup is designed to spot high-risk HPV infections that could lead to cervical cancer in menstrual blood. If trials show it works as intended, Papcup could be like a 2 for 1 special: not only a sample collection kit, but also a testing device. It has the potential to remove some of the biggest barriers to cervical screening, helping many more eligible people take part. If implemented into the NHS cervical screening programmes, it could even help reduce the strain on healthcare services. How does it work? 👇 #CervicalScreening #SelfSampling #CervicalCancer #CancerNews Cancer Research Horizons
