The council recently took delivery of 500 free hazel saplings from Jones Food Company, which we have planted along Brigg Road in Scunthorpe and at Alkborough - a fantastic boost to our pledge to plant 250,000 trees across North Lincolnshire (currently on 166, 036 and counting 🌳 🌳🌳).
🌱 500 Trees for North Lincolnshire🌱 At Jones Food Company, growth isn’t just about what we do indoors—we’re making an impact outside too! We’ve donated 500 hazel trees two years ago to North Lincolnshire Council helping create a greener, healthier environment for our community. Grown at our Scunthorpe facility, these trees are now part of: 🌳 A new green corridor along Brigg Road, Scunthorpe (What3Words: stir.rust.ruled) 🌳 The Humber Forest woodland creation project near Alkborough Flats (What3Words: standing.fixtures.truckload) Planted in biodegradable coconut husk and grown to sustainable forestry standards, these hazel trees will boost biodiversity, improve air quality, and support local wildlife. 🦋🐿️ Innovation at JFC isn’t just about food—it’s about making a lasting impact. We’re proud to support initiatives that make North Lincolnshire a greener place for everyone. A big thank you to North Lincolnshire Council for their support in planting these trees! 🌍 #Sustainability #GreenInitiatives #JonesFoodCompany #NorthLincolnshire #TreePlanting
