  • We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the Bronze Award from the Fair Payment Code (FPC), recognising our dedication to high standards in payment practices. This award is granted to businesses that settle at least 95% of all invoices within 60 days, reflecting our commitment to fair and timely payments to suppliers and subcontractors.   Administered by the Small Business Commissioner on behalf of the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), the Fair Payment Code sets benchmarks for payment practices and encourages best practices across the industry. This recognition highlights our continued focus on responsible business operations and solidifies our role as a leader in nurturing fair, transparent relationships with our supply chain partners.   Prompt payments have always been a cornerstone of our operations, and this award is a testament to our ongoing efforts to act with integrity and responsibility. It reflects our broader commitment to We Do Business Responsibly and strengthens the collaborative partnerships we build with our suppliers and subcontractors. By consistently prioritising timely payments, we foster strong relationships that support mutual respect and teamwork. This achievement is a natural extension of our core value, We Create Great Teams, ensuring that all our partners feel valued and empowered to succeed alongside us.

We’re proud to support the future of the construction industry with this week-long event to provide young people and those interested in working in our sector the opportunity to learn more. • It’s been four years since the launch of Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) Wave 1 - now known as the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund (WH: SHF). Read on to learn what’s been happening. 👇 In an article written for Unlock Net Zero, Novus’ Business Development & Marketing Director, Claire Bailey-Jones, examines how the three waves of funding have developed and what has changed over the past four years.  1️⃣ How has the funding evolved?  There has been a significant increase in funding – with more and more allocated in each successive wave – proving the government’s commitment to decarbonising social housing. 2️⃣ What other funding opportunities exist? Despite the WH: SHF window having closed, there are still opportunities for landlords to bid for funding, through schemes such as Social Housing Net Zero Heat Fund (Scotland), Ofgem, Green Building Initiative and The Optimised Retrofit Programme (ORP) Phase 3. 3️⃣ How to craft a winning Energy Funded bid Having participated in every wave of funding under SHDF and now WH: SHF, we have a good grasp of how to work with our clients to secure deliverable projects through our dedicated ‘Sustain’ service, and we can advise on: - Strategic alignment - Robust project planning - Evidence of impact - Financial viability - Effective collaboration - Flexibility and innovation 4️⃣ Common pitfalls and areas for improvement A well-informed contractor such as ourselves can advise on the levels of data required in the bid, and where more detailed analysis is required, such as stock analysis or the need to consider enabling works. Learn more in the article below. 👇 https://lnkd.in/eDJQhegx

  • We remain committed to giving back to the communities we work in. 🧡 And we’re proud to have supported a series of charity and community projects throughout 2024, leading to an incredible £3 million estimated social value impact.   Last year, we were involved in more than 200 social value initiatives and volunteered over 1,000 hours – leading to a positive impact for over 5,000 individuals. Our colleagues across the business have also taken part in 21 charity challenges helping to raise more than £28,000. We also continued our partnership with The Lighthouse Charity, the only charity that is fully dedicated to the physical, emotional and financial wellbeing of those working in construction and their families. What’s more, we’re proud to have joined forces with CRADLE CIC. The national mental health charity provides support to anyone affected by the death of a baby during pregnancy, or termination of pregnancy, through working with the NHS to deliver services and pathways of support for patients, as well as services for healthcare professionals including trainee doctors and nurses. #SocialValue #Community #TheNovusWay
