About us
Welcome to the official National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children Scottish Linkedin page. The NSPCC is here to end cruelty to children in the UK and Channel Islands by fighting for their rights, listening to them, helping them when they need us and making them safe. We provide national services such as Childline and our Help line for concerned adults to provide support for all children. Our local services focus on the most acute forms of abuse and the most vulnerable, highest risk children working in areas such as sexual abuse or children under one so that we can bring help, advice and treatment to children at risk or those who have been abused. We work closely with local communities through our services for children and families, our campaigning work, and our vibrant network of community supporters and partners. Find out what we’re doing in Scotland and how you can get involved. Thank you to BiP Solutions for all your support this week and over the past year. You have made a real difference to children and families in Govan and beyond.
Throughout this week, we have been continuing with our festive schedule across both Glasgow, and Manchester… On Wednesday ten of our Glasgow colleagues volunteered to join the NSPCC Scotland centre in Govan to help wrap, and pack Christmas presents for local children to receive on Christmas Day. ‘I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and all the volunteers from BiP – they brought such a lovely atmosphere to the office today and we really really appreciate it. Your help will make a huge difference to so many families this Christmas 😊.’ Caoimhe Walsh at the NSPCC Our Manchester team have been collecting gifts for Once Upon a Smile which is a charity that supports local families/children who have been affected by bereavement, and will be delivering these gifts to the charity at the beginning of next week. Across the business, everyone embraced the festive spirit with their best Christmas jumpers, all in support of the NSPCC and so far have managed to raise £130! Thank you to Team BiP for all your support 🎅

This #fundraiserfriday we wanted to say a massive thank you to the Fizz and (incredibly) Fabulous committee for everything they have done for children and young people. 💚 Their passion, energy and commitment has helped them raise over £61,000 net this year alone - this provides our entire Childline service across the whole of Scotland for 11 days – a childhood changing, lifesaving service for all children and young people across the whole of Scotland provided by your amazing committee efforts. Thank you for all you do for children, without amazing people like you, children wouldn’t be able to come to Childline to get the help they need, right when they need it, to keep them safe and protect them. You really are changing childhoods. Thank you to Janette McAllister, MLG (McAllister Litho Glasgow), Diane Drummond, B-DACS Air Conditioning Services, Linzi Forbes Gormley, Gail Partridge, Andrew McKie, Shelby Sprott, Claire Walsh, Jill Toner, Rhona Martin, @alison brown, @andrew mckenna Jennifer Burke from all of us at NSPCC Scotland. #fundraising #childline #fizzandfabulous #NSPCC
