BIM 2.0 is getting expert systems and big productivity benefits through modelling with assemblies over simple walls, doors and windows. Richard Harpham explains how Skema.AI, Hypar, Parafin, Higharc and TestFit change the tired BIM workflow. Autodesk finally launches Unifi as Content Catalog for Revit content and being linked to Autodesk Construction Cloud can share BIM content amongst project teams. Finally I bring up the issue of pricing metastasis across tech stacks which is busting budgets of Design IT directors as software firms seek increases of anywhere between 60-300% in subscription fees. Architectural fees are decreasing, firms are going bust and there are layoffs. Software firms need to consider the damage they do to TRUST and concentrate on delivering VALUE.
