We are pleased to announce that OEG Renewables has signed a contract with Strategic Marine for the order of a new build crew transfer vessel (CTV). The vessel will support OEG Renewables’ offshore operations in the Asia Pacific region. The vessel, due to be named Wey Feng, is a BMT designed 27m aluminium catamaran and will be the fourth StratCat 27 vessel built by Strategic Marine to join the OEG Renewables fleet. The Wey Feng is due for delivery to Taiwan in February 2025, where it will support our ongoing projects in the region. Congratulations to the Albyn School Green Arrows Formula 24 team on their second World Championship win! 🏆 Once again, the Green Arrows have taken home the Greenpower International Finals title, a yearly competition run by the Greenpower Education Trust. This UK-based charity challenges young people to design, build and race an electric car, a project that saw 14 students from across different year groups overcome a few challenges on the way to devising their winning strategy! Mental Health Matters! 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 shines a light on ‘Mental Health at Work’. Being aware of mental health issues prepares us to support people when they are struggling to cope. We all need to look after our mental health and feel that we can ask for help if we need it. Beata Tetkowska, Group QHSE Coordinator, is one of OEG Energy Group’s mental health first aiders, who is passionate about the importance of open communication when we are facing challenging times. “Mental health exists in all our lives, in our families, workplaces, and communities. It impacts everyone. It is not something other people have; it is something we all need to know about. Awareness campaigns like this help to open the channels of communication, reminding us that we shouldn’t be embarrassed about mental health and that it is ok to talk about things and ask for help when we need it. “Mental health first aiders are not experts or mental health professionals, but they are trained to give initial support and advice about where you, or someone you are concerned about, can find help. For anyone who is experiencing a mental health issue, or emotional distress at work, know that you are not alone. There are people who understand, who care and who are ready to listen. OEG Renewables recently announced the latest addition to our fleet, the Furioso. Our state-of-the-art vessel is currently on a 5-year charter, supporting operations and maintenance (O&M) activities on offshore wind farms in Germany. We currently own and operate 16 multi-purpose offshore vessels. The fleet operates across the globe supporting offshore wind construction and operation and maintenance activities.
